As an Obama supporter I am deeply offended that I have been labeled as a Hillary hating asshole.

This could not be further from the truth.

I do not HATE Hillary, hell I actually have alot of respect for her. I simply just prefer Obama. If Hillary wins the nomination I will be the first in line to donate and volunteer for her campaign!

I agree that "some" Obama supporters have been jerks... I have have seen it... yes it's shitty and deplorable. I also agree that "some" Hillary supporters have been the same way.

I refuse to call out an entire group. I have posted OVER AND OVER again about how I feel no real disdain for HIllary or her supporters as well as many other Obama supporters... why is it that when the hammer comes down NONE of that gets mentioned? You know... people that believe in DEMOCRATS? Why are we constantly focusing on assholes that are trying to ruin our DU experience? Yup... I am calling out a FEW not an entire GROUP.

This is getting old and takes up so much time, why aren't WE AS DEMOCRATS discussing ways to beat the GOP in November?

What in the hell is wrong here? Have we completely lost it?

It appears that there has been this huge battle between both Obama-haters and Hillary-haters on this board. Some of the perhaps more rational supporters of either candidate have even gotten themselves caught up in it (and some so far as even gotten themselves TSed), but i really think for the most part these two extreme groups have merely chosen DU as their battleground.

It almost seems as though the extremists from both camps are not really Democrats at all but, I dunno, perhaps Limbaugh listeners or some such, coming in here to keep that ol' Operation Chaos going...

I guess it makes sense in a way, since DU is a pretty influential political board...

12. I've tried to distinguish between the majority of Obama supporters who are good, reasonable people,

and the very vocal minority who are trying to drive away the Hillary supporters and anyone else who hasn't converted to their political faith.

I'm sad it's been like this, too. But that subset of really intolerant, fanatical Obama supporters does exist. And as I've pointed out, the progressive editor of Black Agenda Report, who was the co-founder of Black Commentator, has had some really harsh things to say about them, too, and their treatment of anyone who doesn't agree with them completely.

And they're going to turn off more and more potential Obama voters if they keep it up.

Who knows who's really what? Lots of people could be doing things to damage other people's perception of a candidate and his/her supporters. There could be many double and triple crossers in an environment such as this.

I certainly don't like them, but I admit I tolerate them more because they are not attacking our Mathematically Presumptive Nominee. They make the Nominee look bad by proxy, but that's a whole 'nother issue.

I also respect every HRC supporter here who doesn't go negative n' nasty on the MPN.
