3. Republicans elected him.
They abandoned their own candidate to help him.

Says a lot about their party.

12. Bush didn't run as a "Democrat"
There's a difference here. The Dems that sent Lieberman to the Senate again were somehow unaware that they were voting for a Republican

Edited on Mon May-12-08 02:36 PM by stranger_with_candy
But he still lost the democratic primary and was not the democratic nominee in the general. He won with republican votes.

On edit: your "linky" even says he ran as an independent and won with strong GOP support.

29. He ran as a "Democrat" and "Democrats" voted for him.
Yes, I know he lost the primary. But do you recall the cheers from his Democratic crowd when he announced his intention to continue an "Independent" campaign? GOP voters surely assisted him, but his votes came mostly from Democrats.

30. Bullshit
Of course he got some dem voters in the general, so did our Republican governor. That is hardly enough to say he won mostly by dem votes. He won with GOP support.

18. I'm not from here...
...and I really want to get out of this state. You'll hardly ever see me defend it but I have to say that Bush was born in New Haven, CT and went to schools in the NE. He's a fake Texan.

I have a hard time believing anyone in their right mind in this state would claim him as a real Texan, especially after the past several years. :D

And SERIOUSLY, why would Hamas be endorsing any of the American candidates - unless they wanted that candidate to lose!

35. Oh how I wish Joe's moment with Hagee had come before his reelection.
I can just see the devastating ads from Lamont right now: Joe Lieberman calls radical bigot John Hagee an "Eesh Elo Kim", or "man of god"--cut to clip of Lieberman praising Hagee. We many strongly disagree with Joe's support of Bush's war, but what happened to the Joe we used to know, the one who would never show support for intolerance--cut to clip of Hagee blaming New Orleans for Katrina or condemning Catholics.
