The Daily Show gets thrown off of and under the bus
'Daily Show' crew can't pierce HRC bubble

Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign refused a Comedy Central crew's request to ride on the campaign's traveling press bus.

The crew, from the network's hit faux news program "The Daily Show," showed up at a Sunday night rally at a middle school gym in Eleanor, W.V., apparently intending to film a segment about the media coverage of the campaign.

A Comedy Central crew also recently flew on Barack Obama's campaign plane for the segment.

The crew at Clinton's Sunday night rally, which included Daily Show correspondent Jason Jones, shot footage of Jim Axelrod, CBS News' White House correspondent.

A member of the crew told Politico that the Clinton campaign at first offered Jones et al a ride on its traveling press bus from the Eleanor rally to the Charleston hotel where the press and campaign staff is staying. But the campaign later reneged, according to the crew member.

I guess Saturday Night Live was the last straw.
No more fun and games at Camp Clinton.

I guess Hillary finally comprehended that people weren't laughing with her...

1. They'll make it even worse for her
It won't be gentle ribbing, it will be scathing.

2. To be fair Jason Jones probably wasn't there to be nice.
 That's not his gig.

Even so, it's probably a mistake to ignore TDS even at this late stage in the game.

3. well, if you'll recall, they whined and moaned at the Colbert show about allowing
Obama to appear on the show.

they seem to be comedy-impaired,

HOWEVER, I will also say that it's probably smart to avoid comedians, comics, cartoonists, pundits, reporters, and anyone who might point out the math to her at this point.

4. That would pretty much involve becoming housebound.
You'd think that campaign could use a laugh right now. It's a bad idea to p!ss off people who talk for a living.

6. You can bet The Daily Show will take this Bus story to the Bank
Anyone should be able to see the irony of it and I would bet they do too.
I hope the segment airs tonight. You avoid a Multi Award winning program
at your own risks. The Daily Show has won the emmy 5 years in a row for
good reasons.

I can't remember the last time SNL won any comedy awards, I think the last
time was right before Will Ferrell left.

5. Probably a good idea
Huckabee welcomed this stuff because he knew it was over and was just campaigning to finish ahead of Mittens. Hillary is trying to potray she has a serious chance. The Daily Show would humiliate her staffers on camera for us all to get our laughs.

7. I don't think they'd have to try that hard, at this point. I think they'd just have to
point the camera.

9. I agree
and I'd love watching her staffers squirm. However she has to avoid all media right now other than coverage of her stump speech or it will blow up into a reporter asking her when she plans to quite over and over again on a loop. Comedian or not.

8. Kind of O/T-but did anyone see ANY footage of SNL's latest Hillary skit played in the MSM yet?
I only saw one clip played ONE time on "Morning Joe" where they showed her saying she'll play both the gender AND race card. That was all.

12. I am guessing
that the humor quotient of the HRC campaign is pretty close to zero at this point.
