Dean and Al Franken are guests on the McEnroe show on CNBC at 10:00 tonight.

SNIP..."Governor Dean is scheduled to appear on John McEnroe's CNBC program, "McEnroe," tonight at 10:00 - 11:00 p.m. EDT.

Gov. Dean will also appear on Hardball (MSNBC) at the top of the show tonight, airing 7:00 pm EDT."

Talking to the overflow at Take Back America conference last week.

1. Tweety bashed Dean last night?
I must have missed it--I didn't see any Dean bashing from him.

2. Maybe someone on the show? Was it on the 9:00 hour?
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 01:59 PM by madfloridian
I thought it was about 9 with Andrea Mitchell, tsking tsking about the remarks about the terror alert.

I edited it to be a question. A friend called about that time. It was like putting him down for it? I will see if there is a video. There was a show at 7 and another at 9. Countdown in between, which was really good.

3. I thought that Tweety was pretty good last night, asking

the young dittoheads some hard questions.

Edit: Does MSNBC have transcripts?

4. Was it at the 9 show?
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 02:11 PM by madfloridian
Maybe I heard it wrong. Will edit again until I find something. I can not verify what I heard as I was talking and yakking. I will bet the McEnroe show will be great! Dean and Franken.

On Edit, I changed the subject line. I will give him the benefit, as he is usually decent to Dean.

6. I dunno, really. Maybe your friend spotted something that I
did not, but I've never seen Tweety be rude to Dean or even about Dean.

Especially now...Ever since Tweety was confronted by a guest about his and others' coverage of the Iraq War, he has been a little--different, shall we say.

I think that's why he lost it at Sharpton during the convention. He thought Sharpton ruined the convention. I personally disagree, but I think Tweester wanted that convention to work. I do believe that the Tweetster now despises George W. Bush*.

I could be wrong. Let's watch very carefully tonight and see what he does!

7. Not just on the segments.
I can't seem to find anything. I know I had the impression he was participating in it, like he does when Dean is not present....he is nice when interviewing him.

I have watched CNBC twice this week and discovered 3 good shows I had not previously watched.

11. My favorite part
I liked when he was asking the panelists if the 15-point bounce was clever Republican spin, and his panelist answered yes and some of the the young ditto-heads cheered. Then Tweety turned around and asked, "You guys are proud of spin!? It used to be that people were proud of the TRUTH." :D

5. I watched a bit, but dont recall anything out of the ordinary?
Matthews son supported Dean so I think he respects Dean though he may not always agree with him?

I think he must be giving Dean a voice tonight to clarify his *truth telling* and statment on Bush politicizing homeland security?

8. Matthews is on a mission now. I would not be at all surprised
if you are right on all counts.

12. I hope so.
I think Matthews really likes Dean because of his blunt answers. I've heard him praise Dean before and call him a "Maverick" adding that he really likes Mavericks.

9. Randi mentioned something about it earlier.
So I guess she heard something to, like they were saying how awful if there were an attack.....how bad it would look. She said Dean was right to say it, that we have to question.

14. Dean on Hardball- Hit a major home run out of the park on the terror alert
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 06:15 PM by wishlist
Dean hit a home run against Tweety!!!!!!!!!

He nailed Bushco and Rove, says the Al Qaeda guys were arrested back in June and July and they had all the info on July 13 and held it until now and played politics with terrorism repeatedly. Yeah, Howie!

He emphasized that the terror threats are real and he has commended the administration for the specific helpful details provided now but they have known about the specifics for 3 weeks.
