"She has to be really careful that she's not damaging our prospects, and our cause, for the fall"
updated 3:39 p.m. PT, Sun., May. 11, 2008

WASHINGTON - Former Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards said Sunday that he thinks Barack Obama will be the party's presidential nominee and that Hillary Rodham Clinton must be careful not to damage the party's prospects in November as she continues her campaign.

"I know how hard it is to get up and go out there every day, speak to the media, speak to crowds, when people are urging you to get out of the race. I mean, it's a very hard place to be in. But she's shown a lot of strength about that," said Edwards, a former North Carolina senator who exited the race in January.

"But I think the one thing that she has to be careful about ... going forward, is that, if she makes the case for herself, which she's completely entitled to do, she has to be really careful that she's not damaging our prospects, the Democratic Party, and our cause, for the fall," he said in a taped interview broadcast on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards said that in recent weeks Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has become a stronger candidate, and has made a compelling base for her continued candidacy for the nomination.

5. That has little to do with his comments on her hurting our chances in November
Yes they were made on the same show, and yes he said she's become a stronger candidate, but "I think the one thing that she has to be careful about - and she doesn't need my advice, she knows this full well - is that, if she makes the case for herself, which she's completely entitled to do, she has to be really careful that she's not damaging our prospects, the Democratic Party, and our cause, for the fall."

6. I heard him on NPR. He said The Math does not add up for her.
He was being nice with the previous statement. He knows who the nominee is, and has said so.

2. that's what you'd expect somebody who cares about the party to do
But why would she start that now?

And it's not her fault anyway. It's Obama's fault for telling lies about her and Obama supporters fault for voting against her and 'verbally lynching' her on the blogosphere. Particularly those damnable activists at moveon and DFA. If we hadn't fallen behind the M$M's efforts to stop the inevitable and the eminently desirable, then the skies would have opened up and we'd all be riding to liberal heaven behind our determined fighter. But, but, but, noooooooo. We just had to go our own way. Have we broken any homes up lately. Just five minutes, worm your honor, him and me alone. :banghead:
