Dear HRC, You Lost. *** The Math According to Slate ***
Here's something interesting I've found while playing with Slate Delegate calculator. If Obama barely reaches the 15% threshold (the minimum requirement to earn delegates) in all six of the remaining contests, he will still cross the 1618 line.

Even if she clobbers him with by 60 points in WV, KY, and OR, Obama will still cross the 1618 line on the 20th.

Even if she demolishes Obama in WV and KY as she is expected to, nobody is going to care. Because on the same day of the KY primary is the OR primary. At this point, Obama will cross the 1618 threshold and that will be the talk of the town. Nobody cares about "Hil-mentum" now, nor will they then (save for her die-hard supporters).

However, she and her surrogates (especially her surrogates) seem to be hellbent on destruction. No, not Obama's chances in November. Whatever damage she tries to do now can be deal with in the months ahead. No, the destruction I'm talking about is their own careers. It seems as if they are all too happy to commit career suicide.

2. And WV is only 28 delegates
Edited on Sat May-10-08 04:53 AM by davidpdx
Kentucky and Oregon are about the same. Between those three states, she probably will gain some, but not that much.

My prediction:
WV Clinton-18
Obama-10
KY Clinton-33
Obama-18
OR Obama-31
Clinton-21

Net gain-13

12. I think it's the Pelosi Number
ie Half the pledged delegates, which will cause the Pelosi Club to break for Obama when he hits it, and probably open the floodgates for a lot more supers.
