Obama beating McCain in four new polls!
Edited on Fri May-09-08 07:00 PM by Peterquagmire
These are all polls released today: (Clinton vs. McCain matchup not included because she won't be the nominee).

In Rasmussen, where Obama is rarely ahead, he has taken a 3% lead over McCain.
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

In Gallup, a 1% lead.

A new Bloomberg/LA Times poll has Obama up by 6%.

In a newly released Diageo/Hotline poll,Obama 47, McCain 43.

These elections won't be as tight as the last two. Obama will win with a comfortable margin against the guy who talks into upside down microphones.

1. Democrats are starting the slow process of coming together. Within a few months Obama is going ...
To be likely +10 points or more. And after that 20 points as McCains shit is exposed.

4. Well it is simple
Right now we are heated over this contest.. But as the months go on and people understand that they are one Repuke away from the loss of badly needed court decisions they will go for Obama.

Obama is going to have the netroots hands down.

Obama is likely going to have the support of Clinton supporters.

Obama is getting out the vote.

McCain keeps making stupid mistakes.

McCain's past is being brought out. His voting record etc...

9. I would prefer that the came over because Obama won them over....
...not because they are afraid of McCain.

I think it will happen, but it will take some time.

In the meantime, it seems to be working out well to just allow McCain and Hillary Clinton continue to do what they do best: convicing voters not to vote for them.

12. I just mean that right now people are having a hard time
Edited on Fri May-09-08 07:37 PM by frickaline
seeing a difference between McCain and Clinton, mostly because they were both opponents of Obama. Once McCain starts talking, democrats that think they might support McCain will realize that they actually don't agree with him.

14. I agree. McCain, like Hillary, will convince voters not to vote for him....
...Our problem is allowing the Hillary supporters the time they need to even starting considering voting for Obama.

We need the Hillary supporters for Obama to win. That's a fact.

Here's for us all having the patience we need to come together again as a united party.

17. The more the country sees McCain compared to Obama it'll be absurd he's even running...
Bush will be laughing his ass off after driving McCain into the ground then setting him up for the big fall when he leaves office.

8. Once this starts to be seen as a 2 person race, Poor McCain is done
He doesn't stand a chance, and it will be embarassing.

I almost feel sorry for the guy.

16. My broken record: Way too far from the GE to pay attention to these polls.
Obama is going to get a nice bump for a while cuz he's the news. I'll start paying attention to GE polls around Aug-Sept.
