Hillary was seriously flawed because she assumed she was the annointed one.

She didn't win because more people prefer to project their dreams onto a nebulous and shiny Unity Pony than deal with hardball politics.

44. Only two ways that happens.
Either Obama loses to McCain, which is highly unlikely, or Obama wins and doesn't finish his first term. And that would be a hell of a thing for a Democrat to wish for.

11. There are lots of qualified women who aren't divisive, polarizing, and can bring people together

Hillary just isn't one of them.

Voting for Hillary just because she has a vagina is idiotic.

When will it happen? I don't know.... but it will happen when a woman runs for President who's not such a prick.

Yes... I used the word prick. If she was a man, that's what we'd all be calling her.

She lost because of who she is inside.... not because of her genitalia.

31. The mere question in your OP implies it strongly....

Otherwise.... who cares if she is a woman or not?

Why is that even a consideration? Asking the question "when will there be a woman president?" implies that being a woman has something to do with whether a person would make a good president or not.

By asking the question, you are signalling that her "femaleness" was at least a part of your decision to support her.

51. They voted for Obama because Hillary threw them under the bus
Yes there is probably some pride in voting for Obama, but he earned their votes. He did not get them merely by virtue of the fact that he was black. Hillary has pushed away the black voters by not so subtly proclaiming that a black man will never become president. Why would they vote for her after that? OTOH, Obama has been completely respectful to Clinton and to women in general. It's not the same thing at all.

13. I no longer think we will see a woman president
Apparently, the Powers That Be won't allow it. Black men got the vote fifty years before women were allowed to vote. That's an indication of how much value is place on female participation in our government.

Many Hispanic voted for hillary clinton just because of her name.. Same thing goes with FL and MI.. Obama didn't get much of the vote because they didn't know who he was..

35. There is, yes. But don't you see her campaign as a step forward for women? Don't you
think it would now be easier now than it was four years ago for a woman to present herself seriously as a Presidential candidate? Sure, Clinton has, through virtue of marriage, name-recognition advantages few others have. But I don't understand how anyone could look at politics now and think that Clinton didn't break down the viability door for women.

40. Time will tell
Every woman candidate before her was treated like a joke. The only reason Hillary wasn't was because she had the "establishment" behind her (at least at first) and could essentially run on the record of the only successful Dem president of the last 40 years. We'll see how the next woman who runs is treated, but I'm not optimistic that Hillary's candidacy really changed anything for *other* women candidates who don't have her advantages. My guess is, the MSM will go back to patting female candidates on the head with an "awww, isn't she cute" meme.

We'll see. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think so.

or becomes governor at some point between now and 2016.

Chris Gregoire
Janet Napolitano
Kathleen Sebelius

Jennifer Granholm is Canadian (and responsible for the current Michigan clusterfuck) so she's ineligible.
And I don't see Kathleen Blanco of Louisiana having a snowballs chance in Hell either
