1. Doesn't surprise me!
I heard at a meeting on Thursday that moveon people signed up 20,000 new voters in Florida over the phone and this weekend are calling them all back to make sure they got and mailed the forms!

11. Why do some here actually trust the Cable "News" stations?
Also, why do some here think that the Boston Globe is anything but
The Boston Hearald with another name?

6. Thats just that one idiotic "pundit" who has states like
Michigan as too close to call...Don't get upset over one asswipe. Every other serious analyst is giving Kerry a lead at this point, for what its worth.

4. wasn't FLORIDA one of the toss up states in the Fournier article?
We know, and Fournier must know it too, that JEBBIE is trying his bestest to steal our votes and hand over our 27 electoral votes to his bro...

Yeah, Florida is a toss up state alright, but not because it is, but because JEBBIE'S CORRUPT DIRTY HANDS will make it appear so 'till the end and then give the votes to his bro.

Hate to be pessimist. Seen Jebbie's iron hands at work too many times.

:-(

5. Shhh
I think the false propaganda that Kerry is behind will backfire on the Republicans, because it will increase Democratic turnout.

8. "a job-producing Sunbelt state"
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 12:45 AM by teryang
of burger flippers and chamber maids. This state has a hospitality industry, and the service industry for the retirees, which includes medical services. Then there is the military. Beyond that the state doesn't really generate any jobs. It certainly doesn't generate high paying jobs.

The poverty, homelessness, and breakdown in social services in Florida is endemic. It used to be diproportionately the minorities for the most part, but the white community is beginning to break down now. I guess the people living in gated communities don't notice it yet.

9. Two keys: Indies are breaking for Kerry & and Cheney is a drag
"Powered by a clear shift among independent voters, Democratic candidate John Kerry has taken a slight lead in the presidential race in Florida "

"Kerry gained ground in the nation's largest swing state, apparently bolstered by his selection of running mate John Edwards and helped by a gradual erosion of support for President Bush. The results also indicated that Vice President Dick Cheney has become a drag on the Republican ticket, weighed down by his high "unfavorable" rating."

10. All recent Florida polls have given Kerry an edge
The fact that hispanics in Florida are split is great news. Cubans are fiercely republican usually and so this is exciting news.

12. AP lead story say Bush beating Kerry in electoral college?
Sounds like a crock. As far as I can tell JK has been getting the best on nat'l and state polls.
