Sorry, Hillbots - Rezko Another Dead End For You
The Rezko testimony is over. The defense rested without calling any witnesses.

And with that, another "Obama's unelectable" meme goes down in flames.

6. Considering that there hasn't been a conviction yet...
you might be waiting a long time. When the defense doesn't even bother to call witnesses it usually means they've torn big holes in the prosecution's case. I've been thinking he'll probably be acquitted.

Also, where are the dramatic revelations concerning Obama that we were promised? Wasn't this supposed to sink him?

3. Over what?
There is no proof, or evidence...Otherwise the trial would have provided it.

8. Yes, but why? right now, he looks more likely to be acquitted.
Obama's name hasn't even surfaced in the trial in any significant fashion. And the prosecution case hasn't exactly provided devastating evidence.

Those people were, and still are, fucking idiots.

10. Well I wouldn't put it those terms
But the Hillary supporters who wished this would be the death knell for Obama, decided to leave, or to give up on knocking Obama out with this.

Something happened between opening arguments with this trial and now, the people of America woke up to the snideness of the Hillary campaign, and Hillary lied again and again, and pandered for votes with a $28 fantasy summer gas tax bribe.

11. Rezko gavel-to-gavel: Testimony ends
With surprising swiftness, testimony at the corruption trial of Antoin "Tony" Rezko concluded Monday. Prosecutors rested their case after more than nine weeks of testimony, and Rezko's lawyers quickly followed suit without calling a single witness.

"We do not believe the government has met burden proving the charges against Mr. Rezko, plain and simple," Rezko's attorney, Joseph Duffy, said in explaining his tactical decision not to mount a defense case.

U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve gave jurors the rest of the week off, instructing them to return next Monday morning when closing arguments are scheduled. The jury could begin deliberations as early as May 15, St. Eve suggested.

13. Am I a Hillbot?
I worked for Edwards, donated to Edwards, and voted for him in the VA primary. Furthermore, I will vote for whomever the Democratic candidate may be. But I think that a lot of Obama supporters on this board are flaming assholes. So, I'll ask again, does this make me a Hillbot?

I don't think he's not a sleaze, but I do think he is smarter than our system.

24. fitzgerald's prime witness was a major drug user for years
by major i mean 100`s of thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of gifts to his drug buddies...he could walk if the jury thinks he`s more tainted than rezko.

but the revelations about karl and the republican fixer in illinois is very-very interesting
