have won this thing by now? Or would she have been laughed out of Iowa?

If you pick the later (that she would have been laughed out of Iowa), why are folks in Indiana now buying it?

3. You're right! Can't get your personnas mixed up...you might find

1950s and 1960s - did not even like girls chewing gum in public! There are whole sections of the state where people don't drink - and that was not a relatively sedate Clinton sitting at a table drinking while listening to Hoosiers. I know what that picture would have appeared to be in the 1960s - let's just say the word "classy" would not have been used. (to put it mildly, I doubt any 21 year old friend I had would not have been in trouble with parents if they saw pictures of her shoting whiskey in a bar - and this was the late 1960s.)
