1. It's not like she's very bright. She pandered for a few votes & could care less
about the consequences.

15. And that's what passes for "leadership" for some. It's fucking appalling!
She's been a disgrace. I was once a fan. Sorta. I supported her first Senate campaign. I stll have "Hillary" coffe mugs. (I'm thinking of smashing and trashing them.) Her "strap-on" voting in the Senate and the despicable campaign she's running put her in the same category as Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller, imho. Amoral opportunists filled with their own self-aggrandizing delusions.

3. She's not out to make friends
She wants to be perceived as a tough Commander-in-Chief. First Putin, now Khatami. Doesn't want anyone to think she's weak on Defense/National Security.

4. It might be a threat with Iran but.
the Iranian cleric exchanged threats right back at America.

"...if the crazy people in Washington or Tel Aviv take any military action, the Iranian nation will hit them with such a slap that they will not be able to get on their feet again."

8. Remember the Nuclear Umbrella that was instrumental in saving the world from WW3 ?
During the Cold War, we(US) were successful in preventing an attack not only on the United States but also on America's allies. We did it by extending the American nuclear umbrella -- i.e., declaring that any attack on our allies would be considered an attack on the United States.

Such a threat is never 100 percent credible. But it was credible enough. It made the Soviets think twice about attacking our European allies. It kept the peace.

And here is what HRC said:

In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them, she said.

That's a terrible thing to say but those people who run Iran need to understand that because that perhaps will deter them from doing something that would be reckless, foolish and tragic, Clinton said.

With other words, she wants to expand the uclear umbrella to a hollocost unbrella, as Charles Krauthammer has advocated in an washington post op ed.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/10/AR2008041003271.html

And while Hillary is on point with Iran, Obama wants to talk , and looks the other way when Iran kills US soldiers in Iran.

9. Oh how easy it is...
when one candidate is asked this question while the other is left free to act as if it will never be confronted.

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/foreignpolicy/">Barrack Obama's Plan on Iraq without that question

Take notice the part on Iran. What would he answer? Think about it.

20. I'm sorry you feel that way Stevie.
It was not a wise way to phrase it, to say the least, and has given Iran even more reason to pursue nuclear weapons. It was dangerous and naive, and Hillary should have known better.

For the record, I'd be all over anyone who said it the way she did, from Kucinich to Hillary to McCain and beyond. We've had enough shoot from the lip diplomacy lately, don't you think?

In an earlier time, you'd have been perfect in Germany's National Socialist party. They were real big on collective punishment too.

19. Hillary = Reagan
The Soviet Union was faltering for years -- ever since the Cuban Missile Crisis. New, forward-looking leaders knew the game was up and were looking for some way to end the Cold War. They might have succeeded in the early 1980s, but along came Reagan with his cowboy, shoot from the hip, "Bomb the evil empire" blather. This gave a new life to the hard-liners who were able to ratchet up fear of the US among the people and the political structure. This gave another decade of life to the USSR, bankrupting them and forcing us to match them missile for missile.

Reagan, instead of ending the Cold War, as his hagiographers claim, actually extended it.

Hillary could end up doing the same thing in regard to Iran.
