HRC supporters-I'm having a really hard time justifying...
...pulling the lever for Hillary if she is the Dem nominee. Help me override this physiological block for doing so.

Not in love with the race baiting politics of her campaign
Not in love with the nasty, Dem on Dem violence
Too much pandering--say anything they want to hear at the time

Why should I?

2. don't
If you believe the narrative about race baiting, that Clinton is responsible for Dem on Dem violence, and about pandering, then don't vote for Clinton. Problem solved, no?

3. I disagree with all of your charges, but that is besides the point. Here is why you vote for Hillary
if she is the nominee. It is the same reason I will swallow (extremely) hard and pull the lever for Obama--the Supreme Court. If it goes far right then our country will be altered forever.

4. Is there a point where you'd consider Obama to be...
such a morally and ethically reprehensible person that you'd consider not pulling the lever for him?

Yes, and I've already reached that point several times. You caught me on a good day.
But I have agonized over this. In the end, I think it comes down to the Supreme Court.

I despise Obama every bit as much as many Hillary-haters seem to despise her. I've already resolved to vote against him in the 2012 primaries if he is elected president.

16. That doesn't make any sense
What if he does win and he's a good president are you going to honor your resolve simply because you said you would?

This is the silliness of the long drawn out primary. I may not like one thing about Clinton, I may think of her the way you do Obama but if she turns out to be a good president I can't state with any honesty that I would vote against her in the future.

5. judicial appointments
I'm actually an Obama supporter but let me put it this way: No matter how much you loathe HRC, no matter how much you hate the campaign she has run, her judicial appointments aren't likely to be the kind of judicial activists (and in this case, they really do deserve that title) that McSame would appoint. If you need to hold your nose to vote for her, fair enough. If you vote for her and then spend four/eight years contributing to pressure to keep her honest, no problem but on judicial appointments, on federal appointments, on a dozen programs which don't make the news but that people need, any Democrat is going to be superior to any Republican.

6. I'm conflicted as to whether Judicial appointments are enough of a motivator.
YMMV.

7. I could no longer justify it for the same reasons you cited. If she's shoved on as nominee..
..she will not get a vote from me. I'll write in Obama or Edwards.

I don't vote Republican even if she is wearing a pantsuit with a 'D' on it.

10. OMFG...funny!
I hear you...does that make us "bad Dems" though? I don't think so.

You obviously value your vote, as do I mine.

15. Your vote is yours to do with what you see fit.
I'm unsure how that should "piss me off", though.

17. This current pissing contest is not going to mean anything 1-2 years from now
Hillary will be a better president than McBush 44. I don't have to like someone personally to vote for them.
