1. Bingo! It's actually kind of cruel to mislead struggling voters too.

2. Especially when it's a total dead letter as far as Congress is concerned.
It's one of the most hollow "pander-bear" efforts I've ever seen.

Let's hope the voters are wise enough to see through the bs.

4. do you like how she is going to the mat for something that
a) will not pass
b) doesn't have support from Democrats

one would think she would propose something that wasn't a nonstarter before going out there with it.

she's also inviting Democrats to oppose her.

exactly what has she learned about politics in 35 years? not bloody much.

3. Not only is she going to pass a gas tax holiday,
she's also going to institute a windfall profits tax on the oil companies! All in time to save zillions of dollars for Americans this summer! But only if you vote for her this fall!

Some supporters announce SHE WILL GIT ER DONE. Excuse me, other than the veto and the bully pulpit POTUS can't just git er done

18. It is bizarre in so many ways
My impression is that she doesn't care at all about anyone. If it sounds good and will get her short term gains, she will say it. No need to think ahead to the time when the proposal fails. In the unlikely event that she gets the nominatation, she will just make up some new lines to take attention away from this failure. Amazing that people actually buy this. I agree, a vote for HRC is a vote for McCain. What's the difference really?

24. The same old politics from from the same people. Pandering to voters
and making proposals that dumb down complex issues inorder to take advantage of a large scale lack of understanding of the complexities of that issue is the reason we are in Iraq, why we don't have an acceptable health care system, why the wealth of this nation has been distributed to the very top of the social ladder, why racial and sexual equality are still an issue in this nation, etc.

This is the kind of politics that plays people against themselves. This is the kind of politics that has brought many disadvantaged people in this country to vote Republicans for decades. This is the politcs of manipulation and deception. This is what is wrong with our country.
