2. KICK
We need to work to keep positive threads like this kicked today. I'd much rather read this than anything about a faked video from 16 years ago.

We're going to win on LEGITIMATE stories and issues and don't need that garbage.

39. Thank you, Lucky
I got so freaking caught up this morning attempting to take one of thousands of knives in Obama's back and wield them against those who have done him so dirty that I lost sight of what the man that I am fighting for is all about.

Thank you.

Have any of them formally endorsed Obama? Because informally, I'd say they are solidly supporting him, based on the tone of the stories and the placement of them.
Do they typically endorse in primaries?

Looking at this, we can see a need to finally end this process that some people refuse to end for personal self-glorification reasons. We need to rally around our candidate. He needs us now more than ever. Or get ready for 4 more years of GOP fascist rule. Up to you.

North Carolina already looks to be in the W column.

I have no real worries about Obama winning the nomination. It would be nice to put Clinton away sooner rather than later, though, so we can get focused on the GE.

47. K/R ..
Read the part of the woman at the community home asking about a flag lapel pin. She's a Republican.
Can't the argument be made that Bush has tarnished the image of a flag lapel pin? That won't convince a Republican, but they are not our audience anyway.

This is probably going to be a big RW talking point during the GE. Hard to believe, but I predict it.
Remember the band-aids? Tawdry is their trademark.

48. Can't believe these people are still hung up on flag pins!
They should be asked which they would honestly pick as more important if they had to choose: a strong economy, clean environment, peace, safety, good schools for your children, health care, a good job, etc. on the one hand -- or whether the president wears a flag pin.
Ughh - you reminded me of those disgusting Repubs at the convention wearing band-aids to mock soldiers who earned purple hearts.
Tawdry is a good word. Also non-thinking Ditto-heads.

49. I went to high school in Elkhart
The first newspaper shown is the Elkhart Truth, which we of course always called the Elkhart Liar.

It's in the north, near the Michigan border. The area is partly rural, but it's also part of the Chicago-Detroit industrial belt. Generally Republican and fairly conservative, but more politically and racially diverse than people who hear the word "Indiana" might assume.
