Clinton Spokesman Outright Lies About Hillary Telling O'Reilly "Rich people...God bless us."

And Bill Clinton didn't accuse Obama's camp of distributing a memo on how they'd use racism.

Clinton spokesman outright lies about Hillary telling O'Reilly "Rich people...God bless us." It's bizarre.

Last night, during her interview with O'Reilly, Hillary Clinton said of rich people "God bless us":

Pretty cut and dried, right? Wrong. Today, for whatever reason, her spokesperson denied it, via Markos:
On today’s “state of the race” conference call, a reporter asked about an exchange between Hillary Clinton and Bill O’Reilly on yesterday’s show in which Clinton uttered the words, “Rich people—God bless us.”

Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson denied that’s what she said: “She said ‘God blessed us.’ B-L-E-S-S-E-D.”
No, she said "God bless us." Watch the video. It's not even open for debate. Hillary even said it really slowly so you can hear every syllable. That is an outright lie from her campaign. If they lie about the little things, they're lying about the big things, too. It's pathological with the Clintons and their campaign. And worst of all, it's all on tape for all of America to see - again.

She now has the Billo Millionaire Vote. I got what she was trying to imply, but
that is not how it came out. Just watch the internet destroy that one.

Disgusting self-serving hypocrites ... an insatiable appetite for wealth and power. Corrupted, absolutely.

8. Even if she did say that
(and I have no problem believing it may have been misunderstood), it's still driving the stake between US and THEM. We all know that divide is there, it is just really distasteful to hear her describe herself as one of the rich.

She should have chosen her words more carefully.

As far as I can see, the alternative (Hillary) is little better than John McCain. That makes ALL the difference. I have had enough of repubs...

Hillary sold out. She first totally lost us when she cozied up to Rupert Murdock. She's only gone downhill from there.

was anybody really surprised that something stupid came out? I know I'm not. I'm just glad it was Hillary and not Obama (for the obvious reason that I support him, plus the fact that him saying it would lead the news for days and allow this race to go to the convention). When you play with the devil, you should expect to get burned a couple of times.

30. They're really worked up over this
It's become Team Obama's lapel pin -- only even sillier.

And Obama is still ahead in the polls (although he's losing about a point a day now).

I wonder how they will act when she surpasses his polling numbers again.

There is a YouTube video that "proves" Obama flipped Hillary the bird. I think it was done satirically. But there's still a firestorm over that, too -- ooooo, that evil Hillary will stoop to any depraved tactic!

It's like this all across the Internet, but there's an up-side -- millions of casual web surfers see this nonsense and think that's how Obama is running his campaign. Many of them will immediately defend the Clintons the same way they did when the Republican establishment was after Bill.

That's not as good as a substantive campaign based on public dialog on policy, but it IS better than nothing.

35. Either way, I find it offensive.
The notion that the riches some people have amassed can be attributed to being blessed by God sickens me.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Hillary was speaking The Fellowship language on Billow.

42. And "God Blessed Us" sounds less arrogant how?
In fact, that reply would be more arrogant that her actual, boneheaded response.

With the words "God blessed us" she's basically stating that God picks and chooses who is favored with riches. In other words, by that logic, God said:

"Hillary shall be safe, free and wealthy. The Iraqi civilians, not so much."

I watched that bit of her interview. I don't think the intent of her statement was nearly as ugly as it seems.

It showed to me, again, how far-removed this woman is from the people she wants to represent. She's lived in the fame/power bubble for 16 years. For the rest of her days she will be a former First Lady. She can't go back to ordinary, ever.

I suppose, given those conditions, one feels a normal amount of guilt. A person in her position might think: "Why me? What makes me so special? How did I get here?"

I think Senator Clinton was trying to express that she has her burdens the same as regular folk. She just sucks at doing it.
