Yesterday I was flamed to a crisp for anti-WRIGHT thread, what OBAMA said today
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 02:14 PM by UTUSN
Later, when I made the point that I, along with many-many DUers call the pope "Ratzo" and "Nazi" but my anti-WRIGHT comments were called OUTRAGEOUS "towards a MAN OF GOD"!1 ---this was called "whining".

No, I was not flamebaiting. I was speaking my opinion regarding WRIGHT, the same as what OBAMA now says.

There's quite a silence at GD on WRIGHT now. He was great yesterday, not today: What happened?!1

1. We Obama supporters are nowhere near the quality of our candidate.

8. No We're Not
every time a crisis pops up, I go into full panic mode, then I have to remember to trust this man. In the end, he doesn't disappoint. GoBama!

10. Agreed! And I don't think its really everything that was said that Obama disagrees with.
Its the grabbing of the spotlight for his own benefit over Obama's that had him aggravated as it only served to confuse the debate in the country as fostered by the media!!

16. Amen.
I don't know anyone who can do what he does...and certainly not better.

 Senator Obama.

6. For me I have now had 24 hours to reflect on Rev. Wrights performance of yesterday...
and although I still think that he is a very intelligent man and much of what he had to say was true, he had no business tying Obama into it. His timing obviously sucked big time and as Barack said if it was just Rev. Wright defending himself he would have had every right to do that.

7. He can't infuse intelligence in this country
through osmosis. He had no choice but to do what he did. This country just isn't ready for adult conversations with different points of view.

12. You said a mouthful and its so sad. That is why we have the "leaders" that we have now
in the whitehouse. Senator Clinton's followers also fall into the category of those that aren't ready for adult conversations.

24. So, he turned on his pastor and contradicted himself because Americans are stupid?
Voters aren't stupid enough to buy that.

11. I didn't flame you. I've been critical of Wright
since early January. Although I wasn't bothered in the least by his goddamn america thing, I was offended by his crap about hillary never being called a nigger, and bill screwing AAs. I also didn't appreciate his stupid AIDS comment and I think he's been a media hog over the past couple of days. Not all Obama supporters think Wright is all that.

23. I must confess.
Cali, you were right. Sunday (I think it was), you said the Wright fiasco was going to be bad news for Obama and he needed to correct it. I thought it a good thing that the Reverend got out there to offer America more "context" beyond the "carictature." Turns out...you were so right.

Obama did the right thing today. That was a tough challenge. I'm proud of him and my heart goes out to him and his family.

17. I was trashed relentlessly too
It was implied that I was racist several times yesterday for saying that Senator Obama needed to come out and do exactly what he came out and did today.

To all those people that implied that yesterday? You can go to hell. :hi:

28. Yesterday I was avoiding Wright threads completely...
The day before I was defending him.

The day before that I thought all was good, having seen the Saturday interview.

Today I don't feel so intelligent, but I think a good step is to say I was wrong and others were right.
