Jimmy Carter told his children to follow their hearts.
On last night's show with Jon Stewart, Jimmy Carter was the special guest. The guy just lights up the place wherever he goes. He has an aura of peace around him. I notice that I am always smiling when Jimmy Carter is talking...almost subconsciously.

Last night he said that he told his children to be adventuresome, courageous, controversial, and to follow their hearts, and to more or less ignore the criticism of others. I think that would be great advice for the Democratic Party. Perhaps we should put it into the Democratic rules at the Convention?

1. He was wonderful!
But I think he said his mother told him and his siblings that, its a quote in his book about his mother.
Carter was the best person we have ever had as President, probably too good! IMHO

2. His book is about his mother.
He did comment about his mother when someone asked her if she was proud of her son? She said, "Which one?" :-)

3. So true
We'll have to make an energy transition at some point and Carter actually tried to when he saw the writing on the wall. Too bad the American people sometime prefer assurance than truth.
