Hillary Supporters Say Hillary "WIPED THE FLOOR" with Obama in the PA Primary...
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 01:27 PM by PoliticalAmazon
The truth is that Hillary started out with a HUGE lead in PA, and Obama whittled it down to a single-digit lead.

...and they call that "wiping the floor"?

If Hillary "wiped the floor" with Obama in the PA primary, the huge margins that Obama won in many states must mean Hillary is nothing but a disposible "Swiffer" mop head.

HERE's what "wiping the floor" looks like.

Alabama:
Obama 56%
Clinton 42%

Alaska:
Obama 74%
Clinton 25%

Colorado:
Obama 67%
Clinton 32%

DC:
Obama: 75%
Clinton: 25%

Georgia:
Obama: 66%
Clinton: 31%

Hawaii:
Obama: 76%
Clinton: 24%

Idaho:
Obama: 80%
Clinton: 17%*

Illinois:
Obama: 65%
Clinton: 33%

Kansas:
Obama: 74%
Clinton: 26%

Louisiana:
Obama: 57%
Clinton: 36%

Maine:
Obama: 59%
Clinton: 40%

Maryland:
Obama: 60%
Clinton: 37%

Minnesota:
Obama: 66%
Clinton: 32%

Mississippi:
Obama: 61%
Clinton: 37%

North Dakota:
Obama: 61%
Clinton: 37%

South Carolina:
Obama: 55%
Clinton: 27%

Utah:
Obama:57%
Clinton: 39%

Vermont:
Obama: 59%
Clinton: 39%

Virginia:
Obama: 64%
Clinton: 35%

Wisconsin:
Obama: 61%
Clinton: 38%

Also note states like Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin: Not known for their large African-American populations, but do have a large percentage of white voters.

She barely won a state she should have whomped him in
She's about as shameless as Bush running around saying our economy has 'good basics'.

3. Obama has overcome her huge lead in little over a year
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 01:21 PM by rurallib
She started out with a huge advantage which he is still slicing away at. Instead of asking that talking point from the HDC camp, the question should really be "how did she piss away all that advantage and all that money?"
Edit to add that Obama has shown for the first time in my life that it is possible to build a true grass roots effort to effectively oust the insiders.

4. It's SOOO ridiculous how ALL of his HUGE wins have been dismissed/ignored/forgotten about...
PA was Hillary's best chance at getting an "Obama-style" huge win. She failed and the media is spinning her slim win as a "HUGE" win to keep the race going. Why can't she close the deal? Why can't she get more than 55% (or less) in almost every state? Why hasn't she ever gotten a substantial percentage of the BLACK vote?

Taking credit for the 12% of her supporters that simply detest "coloreds" and one of "them people can't be no president." Seriously - are they talking about their 12% with pride?

15. I believe Obama would win in some states that Hillary won before...
...Obama's momentum started to build, before Hillary was shown to be a nearly pathological liar, and before Hillary's negative, lying ads drove down her approval ratings?

I believe Obama would now win in California.

27. And when you take into account everything that has been reported since Tuesday
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 01:59 PM by rainbow4321
1) Oklahoma's Gov Henry announcing support for Obama (despite HRC winning OK primary)

2) 70 of HRC donors switching over to Obama last month (article reported yesterday in the WaPo with the donors added comments/reasoning about HRC)

3)HRC financial person leaving her camp, the one that helped raise $500,000 for her..(reported that he was switching over to Obama's camp?)

4)Arizona SD announcing her support for Obama

5)Article about her lower level staff leaving in droves

What else am I leaving out?

That "9 delegate win" didn't do shit for her...all it does is give the M$M something to focus on besides all of the above.

Of those 18, I saw one post on Apr 16, by one JoFerret, who made such a claim and was appropriately chastised. No such hits for posts made after the PA primary.

http://upload.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x5536473#5536808

So who is making these claims about "wiping the floor"?

Looking at those numbers really makes you wonder about some of her supporters. All the gloating and hoopla after that PA "win" I for one could not understand it. She was winning that state by at least 20 and her lead was knocked down to double digits. Again, good post.

33. Hillary wiped the floor with her dignity, then put it back on.
She's lost two thirds of all contests, and been beaten by double digits many times. She eeked out a 9 point win in PA, and did so in the second oldest electorate in the nation, after blowing a 25 point lead.

She wiped the floor with the death throes of her campaign.

Notice that whenever she "WINS" all her supporters act as tho she won really BIG, however, she hasn't ever won by very large margins.

And of course here in Texas she didn't WIN the MOST delegates.
