I have wondered wether it makes me sexist that I subcousciously dislike Hillary

because when I think about it, I rationalize it with stuff like her IWR vote (and her unwillingness to call it a mistake), her clusterbombs, her latest Iran remark, the possibility that she only stayed with Bill for the benefits and, her not standing up for gays in the military when asked about it and so on.

I have wondered if that is only an excuse and I really dislike her because "she is a woman trying to do a man's job".

I try to picture Cindy Sheehan running for president as a democrat. I think I would totally be for her.

So, is there something I'm missing?

1. Actually, Sheehan and Hillary have a trait in common. They both have surrounded themselves

with hangers-on who profit from behavior that isn't balanced or emotionally healthy.

Cindy had a powerful, historical impact. And then, she fell under the influence of people who were benefitting from what she was doing. If not monetarily, then publicly.

That was the point where she started having strange, public outbursts and spouting odd mistruths about the Democratic party and running against Pelosi as an Independent.
The woman never started the grieving process for her beloved son and her 'friends' didn't encourage her to take a break and begin the healing process.

With Hillary, she's got some advisors who are making large amounts of money off her campaign. Even though it's over and Hillary has no chance, she's thrown away her integrity and keeps on going. SHE needs to begin the grieving process and let go as well.

2. I don't think so. Unless....

You can't picture any female politician you'd like to see running. Then you might be a sexist.

For me, if Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky were running, I'd support her in a skinny minute.

3. That's the point. I do think I can picture some, but would I still feel that way if they ran?

Or would there be another way of rationalizing it, such as those I have mentioned.

I find it very appealing.

When I see Hillary get riled up, it's like chalk on a blackboard.

I keep hearing people say things like, "I'm not sexist but I just don't want a woman president". Those people are sexist.

You have honest reasons why you don't want this particular woman as president. That's a little different. I think it would be more likely that someone could be sexist for allowing a woman president that they didn't believe in just because she's a woman.

Please note that I am female, a Wellesley grad (like Hillary) but an undecided democratic supporter. I like both of the current candidates, so my judgment here does not come with some kind of political agenda.
