Raise your hand if you suspect most of them would be voting for him in November regardless.

*OP raises hand*

4. perhaps the growing elitness of the party plays a role
as a resident of Florida - I have no intention of voting for either candidate. I will be voting for a Democrat - one of my choice. The party cares nothing about my voice - so why should I feel any need to reciprocate.

6. I too am frustrated with a party who cannot understand
pragmatism.

We need to win this election.
We didn't need a historic election.
We didn't need to fracture the party.

They have decided that the voters in Florida can be cast aside. The voters in Florida fully recognize that. The voters in Florida will respond accordingly.

17. Why? Because it's not about the party caring about you
it's you caring- or not caring- about such things as the SC. Justice Stevens is 88 years old. Ruth Bader Ginsberg is 75 and frail. McCain absolutely would appoint "strict contstructionists". And it's not just the SC. It's the entire federal bench and other issues.

35. why has the party decided there are two levels of Democratic voters
those they listen to and those they don't?

Do they just assume I shall remain loyal to their candidate? I will vote for a D, just one of my choice.

13. I cannot say what I think of the supporters of HRC or BHO
who disparage loyal democratic voters because they are not embracing their candidate of choice.

We all were disgusted with the bloc voting of the Bush supporters. Now we think the right thing is to become bloc voters?

Politics contaminated everyone it touches...not just the politicians but the partisans as well.

26. Not much difference between the two (Clinton and McCain)
anyway. When I voted for Bill in 1992, I knew he was a centrist and so is McCain in most regards.

Kucinich was my candidate and Hillary is at the far end of the spectrum when you consider that. Oh well.

People took the time to vote for their candidate, asking them if they will support the other candidate under that circumstance wont lead to an accurate result.

According to the exit polls at CNN, 10% of Dem voters said they'll vote for McCain in Nov. Of that 10%, 70% voted for Obama yesterday.

33. I should have said 25% of Clinton supporters.
This wasn't from the exit polls. It's from polling done in the past few weeks.

One in four (26%) Clinton supporters say they would vote for McCain in a general election if Obama were the Democratic nominee.
Significantly fewer Obama supporters (16%) say they would defect to McCain if Clinton wins the Democratic nomination

37. No, actually I am 100% correct.
And you can prove it with just a little memory.

In 2000 polls showed bradley supporters wouldn't vote for Gore.

In 2004 polls showed Dean supporters wouldn't vote for Kerry.

In 2000 polls showed McCain supporters wouldn't vote for Bush.

WHENEVER there is any type of contentious primary battle the losers supporters swear they won't vote for the winner, but it has and will be mostly hot air.

A few won't, but hardly a significant number.

You obviously weren't knocking on doors for weeks and heard what some of these people had to say about Obama. Hint, same questions that you all criticized the ABC guys for asking Obama are the same questions people had on the street, add to that the people who actually think that he's Muslim.

Not to mention untold hours canvassing here in AZ. I heard all the questions. Funny how that Muslim/Pledge email made its way into thousands of emails just before primaries, isn't it?

And don't you just seem pleased-as-punch that people think all those ridiculous things about Obama, and that ABC gave them credibility. I'm sure you were just tickled when your candidate helped them out by bringing up Farrakhan.

Oh, but, wait....I know...You're just concerned. :eyes: :puke:

Clinton fans are fanatical about her because they are racists. When I posted something to this effect after TX, my post got deleted. Whatever. I am sick of these people who just can't vote for a black man, but will give you a thousand other reasons for it. Racism is apparently a stronger force than sexism in some counties.

I do a lot of volunteering, for both Obama and local politics. I can't tell you how sick I am of knocking on a door and finding out the person is a bigoted DINO. Just yesterday, we were told by volunteers circulating ballot petitions for an A/A candidate that several registered Democrats refused to sign it when they saw his picture. We need to stop wasting resources on these idiots and attract new voters and progressive-minded independents to join us. I wish we could revoke registrations on the spot when someone reveals themselves to be a backwards asshole.

44. The issue to me is "How" they got to be the Dem. Candidate...
I don't understand Clinton supporters who say they won't vote for Obama. He will have the most popular vote & most unpledged delegates.

However, if Clinton were to win just because she convinced Super-D's to over ride the will of teh voters - then yes, I have a HUGE problem with that.. and I will be one of those who won't be voting for her. If it was possible for her to overtake Obama, as much as I dispise her tactics, I'd vote for her in November. But, that's not the way she will get there - the only way she will win is to "cheat".. and I won't support that. To me, that's worse then McCain.
