Obama supporters: If the ticket was Obama/Clinton, would you decline to vote in the GE?
And vice versa, for Hillary supporters?

1. If Obama was on top of the ticket, I'd vote for it. I do think it would be a weak ticket, though.

35. My thoughts exactly
Why galvanize the Republican base just to get Clinton in the VP spot?

I'd vote for it though. as long as he was on top.

Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 10:27 AM by rox63
I'll just need several clothespins on my nose if it's HRC.

And if Hillary is Obama's VP, I'd want to be sure he ups his security and hires a food-taster. :scared:

6. I don't think it's the strongest ticket, but damn straight I'd vote for Obama/Clinton.
The problem is that Hillary has made so many attacks against Obama that her presence on the ticket, I think, sigficantly undercuts him, as if he wasn't strong enough to get out from under her shadow, and we don't need a Democratic shadow president like Cheney has been for Bush.

14. So you would risk giving up the White House to show your ass?
This is the only reason McCain has a chance. It's your way or the highway. My choice is Obama but I'll damn sure vote for Clinton over McCain. I've lived through enough shit from the GOP to last a lifetime. I'm not looking to live through any more.

11. Not sure and will need tons of convincing.
Part of me would feel that Obama is selling out or atleast forced to have HRC on the ticket by the other side of the Dem party. The other part of me feels as if I should vote because they are better than McCain but only if Obama is on top of the ticket.

Really I have to see how this all plays out first though.

12. Of course. I'm not stupid.
And anyone who plays the "WELL! I'm not voting for _______" is one of the fucking reasons we keep losing elections.

On second thought, non-voting assholes are just fine with me. Maybe we NEED 4 years of that fucker McCain to piss everyone off enough so they finally change the God Damned System so this doesn't keep happening.

15. I will vote Barack for President.
Not Hillary for President with Barack her vice.
Not Hillary for Vice President.

If he's ok with her on the ticket, I'm ok with her on the ticket. The most important thing is getting him into the white house. I don't imagine she'll be able to cause too much chaos in the VP role. At least she won't have her finger on the button.

20. I've said it before - It doesn't matter who's on the ticket, I'm voting Dem!
That being said, I'd rather be voting to elect Obama for President, than Clinton for Pres. If she's the Pres nom, than I would definitely want him on the ticket as VP. If he's the Pres nom, I would be a little afraid of putting her on since she's so power hungry. I think it might turn out to be a female version of Cheney, albeit much nicer, better looking and more pleasant - I'm talking the power hungry / overriding decisions part.

34. Like oil and vinegar. . .
. . .why would or should Obama want to put up with a VP Hillary and Bill, who'd be like backseat drivers or know-it-all possessive in-laws.

And if Billary steals the nomination from Obama in convention by back-room deals. . .well, there would be no compromising that betrayal, now would there?

I'm ONLY for OBAMA/WHOMEVER HE TRUSTS TO BE HIS SURROGATE 2008

to vote against the war, against the bankruptcy bill, against the kyle/Lieberman amendment. He needs someone who is smart and has some experience. Clinton and Edwards and Biden by virtue of their votes shouldn't even be considered.
