1. Americans need another debate
Judging by the uproar last week alone, Americans need to hear Senator Obama define some of his policies better. And if Senator Obama decides he just doesn't want to take a chance and again look weak without a script or teleprompter, that says a lot about his ability to actually be President.

She's just looking for a another free bash-fest.

13. No, not enough
and if it's a bash fest as many have been, Senator Clinton seems to hold her own well. Senator Obama seems to wilt without that prepared speech or teleprompter.

18. Horeshit.
Again 21 debates is more than enough, somebody is just looking for free air time.

Not that such classic zingers like "Change you can Xerox" is actually going to help her any more.

21. Say what you like but another debate or 3 could help Senator Obama
define some of his issues that Americans want to know about. He appears "scared" if he is the one to turn down any legitimate requests for a debate and should he win the nomination, that alone could be enough to ruin any chances of a GE win.

23. No one is buying he is scared after 21 debates.
Just stop it.

Most people were so repulsed by the last one they probably don't even want another one either.

There are only a handful of states even left, the vast majority of the country has already voted. Debating time is over.

25. If you say so
would look like fear to me if he refused. I'm biased though, I would really like to hear him give more definition to some of his issues.

2. 21 debates wasnt enough for you? what is going to be decided by another debate?
do you really want Clinton to bloody up Obama by gotcha politics so that McCain will have tons of ammo for the general?

12. Wrong. That got debunked on this board last night.
It's inevitable that there'll be another debate. They won't go two more weeks without one.

10. the game is essentially over and so are the debates.
A win by under 9 pts just doesn't cut it for her. And the SDs are going to continue going for Obama. Governor Henry endorsed today. She'll lose NC and OR by double digits. She can't take either the delegate or popular vote lead. She'll continue gasping for air- and money, but it's all over but the final aria.

11. Thank you. Forget the math. To be a "winner," Obama has to have a big, final win.
Of course he'll be the nominee. Obama needs to look like a winner and smell like a winner in the popular imagination.

He needs another South Carolina. Honestly, he needs two of them to put this election to bed.

17. N. Carolina & Indiana would do nicely...
don't forget the large black vote in Gary, IN (the first American city to elect a black mayor) as well as Indianapolis. Indiana can go Obama, just like NC. And with that, the err, calorically-challenged lady can start singing.

14. If I was Obama I would only agree to another "debate" if they promised
to spend the better part of the first hour trashing Hillary the way they trashed him. Lots of fodder there with "obliter-gate" - of course they won't bring that up. No one will ask her how she'll beat back the Republican campaign which will be, essentially, "Keep Bill out of the White House at all costs." No one will ask her about the giant "donations" to Bill's library and their foundation and whether or not the "donors" expect anything in return.

15. No more debates. Everything of substance that could be said HAS been said.
Just campaign and get the votes, or not get the votes. Get it over with.

The Republicans are loving this tearing each other apart.

20. what did you find out about Obama? that former Clinton employee (George Snufalugus)
can attack him for 45 minutes straight before asking a real issue related question.

Oh, and stop with the John Edwards "hero worship". Get off the fence and pick someone who is remaining in the race.

24. Would be nice to have a NON CORPORATE debate for once...
I don't care about some donation someone made 20 years ago or what their favorite prayer is..

I don't care about hypothetical 'Jack Baur' scenario's or what is a candidates favorite color...

every debate thus far has been a 'Gotcha!' session...

Just ask them about running the country please...

Who else might give us a debate WORTH WATCHING?

I have serious doubts.
