Small PA win + Big NC loss= No gain
Here is the reality of the situation. Whatever the small number of delegates and votes Hillary might win today, will be offset by the huge loss in the NC primary. So the reality of the situation is that she has lost, the last 2 big states will result in no gain for her. She needs to bow out gracefully and let the Democrats get back to the business of winning the Presidency.

2. Actually I do not think Clinton is thinking in delegates anymore.
It is about money. Clinton had but what? 9 million to use this month and she has likely used well more than half of it.

So what she is thinking is that a win by atleast 10 points in PA will attract new donors to her Campaign. Because so many of her existing donors are maxed out LONG ago.

She desperately needs money for defending her lead in Indiana where she hopes to attract more donors.

So on and so forth until the convention I guess.

So the chain has to be interrupted by winning a Clinton lead state. That is what makes May 6 so important because it is the best chance to interrupt the chain which would ruin any chance of Clinton moving the supers over to her.

I took me some time to discover that. However, when it dawns on you .. You completely understand what Clinton may be trying to do.

So let us hope for a Small Clinton win so she wont get that much to fill the warchest with.

3. Yep....but it seems people in denial do not deal well with facts.
Queen Hillary just does not like to see the facts of the matter ~~ just like her supporters, IMO. If she continues and takes this to a floor fight, she basically hands the presidency to Grandpa McCain.

I wish to hell she would STFU and get the hell out of the race. She cares ONLY about herself and does not give a shit what happens if the US gets a McCain presidency. Sheesh...she and her cheating hubbie what's-his-name have enough $$$ to weather anything. No wonder she does not give a shit about anyone but herself.

5. she needs to win it big, but
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 08:43 AM by beezlebum
plans are to spin it big:

But Clinton campaign aides have made clear that a win is a win and that they plan to spin even a narrow victory into a major loss for Senator Obama.

"If Obama fails to win Pennsylvania, it will be another sign that he is unable to win in the large states that a candidate for president on the Democratic ticket needs to win," Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson told reporters in a conference call last week.

the reality of the situation?? lost??? don't you know that a loss is a win, unless obama has won, then he's really lost? what are you thinking trying to bring reality into this?

6. the good thing is, she has had to repeat that same meme
over and over and over again, and the SDs, as well as most of the public, is numb to it.

The only people shouting, "Yes, cant' you see that she is speaking the truth" are the die-hard supporters.

8. It's truly a sick group that brags about how they plan to distort the truth
it's like they have totally lost touch with reality and have lost all ethical concerns. To the Clintons the ONLY thing that matters is getting what they want.

7. I'm for Obama but I have a sneaky feeling PA won't be a small loss
but I do think you're right that Obama will gain back a lot of ground with a big NC win.
