CLINTON UNDER PRESSURE: Inappropriate laughter and bizarre comments.
She was just on Countdown. When asked about Scaife's endorsement she starts to laugh inappropriately - it was really bizarre. I think the guest who followed her said he thought it was a nervous tic (not sure b/c I was only half listening at that time). Before when she was questioned about Bill Clinton's 800k speech fee from Columbia she started laughing and said something weird about how many angels are on the head of a pin.

This footage could be the rebuttal ad to her latest scare ad. Watching her really made me feel unsettled (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt that way).

1. She's not doing so well on Larry King right now...
...either.

Geez. I totally gave her props for scheduling an hour with Larry, the night before the PA primary.

She's totally flat, and she seems brazen and sullied.

She's criticizing Obama a lot.

She really needed to put her best face forward, but she's looking like a bucket of sour grapes.

Not smart. Not smart at all.

The night before the primary---negativity just isn't going to win over the PA voters.

3. she's completely falling apart.
if this is what the primaries do to her imagine the toll the GE would take or god forbid if she got in the white house. She'd be a raving lunatic in no time.

4. I'm wondering if the laugh is part of her "coaching." (?)
I haven't seen this clip, but when I read about the last time she started laughing, I started to wonder if she's been coached to diffuse and avoid answering difficult questions by "laughing them off."

7. It's a ruse.. to buy time to think.. some people choose that moment to pick up a glass of water
or cough or ask a question of the questioner to throw them off..but they are all tactics to allow some time for an answer to come to you..or to perhaps sidestep the whole issue.. a Smart questioner, asks about the laugh or hesitancy, and then re asks the original question..

8. The $800,000 question isn't it?
That was the first time it was so blatantly obvious,
I went back and found other ones where the question
solicited that response, and counted at least 10 fake laughs.

The Senator Gravel response is when we first saw that in one of the
first debates when she laugh at WAR WITH IRAN AND HER VOTE.

5. She had to laugh -- Scaife or Olbermann? (The lady or the tiger) but she didn't say it
He wondered why she'd talk to Scaife? Like why she'd talk to KEITH? Both of them tore her down relentlessly.

14. I'll say. Olbermann did a report on Hill's negative campaigning and Scaife spent millions over an
8 year period investigating and reporting to try and bring her and Bill down.

I can see why you interpret those as being exactly the same.

I mean, it's so logical. In Hillary world, anybody who dares breath any thing negative about her is the enemy.

Even reporting that her campaign is 10 million in debt is treachery beyond belief and should be punished.

Right?

but a sure sign of being disingenuous.

10. at some point sleep deprivation makes you hallucinate. I think she
probably hasn't had a true nights sleep since Super Tuesday. I think the shock of this is almost too much for her system.

12. Except the poker she is playing has us all as her chips
I want out of her game and would love to call her bluff.
But, she looks at the voters and lives as one of her chips to gamble
on a poor losing game.

What is the…difference between a large pizza and a professional poker player?
The large pizza can feed a family of four.

23. Clinton's laughter was her way of giving her tormentors the finger.
Kind of like WJC's 'what the meaning of is, is' was to Kenneth Starr

...she sounded like she needs her psychotrops adjusted.

Gads...there is something seriously WRONG with her. It is like she dwells in some form of altered reality.

JMHO

17. It's very unsettling how she seems to be losing touch with reality.
She's wound very tight and it looks like the constant pressure is really getting to her.

I can't really consider myself a fan of her anymore, but I still wouldn't wish psychosis on her.

20. KO caught it too
And you're right, he asked Richard Wolfe (sp?) why she would laugh at a question like that, and Wolfe said he thought it was a nervous tic. I think that's half right. I agree that the laugh was a kind of conditioned response to the question, but I don't think it was conditioned with nervousness. My guess is that her advisers told her at some point that she should try to disarm her opponents with laughter if she gets asked a tough question about a collateral issue like that. So now she's essentially programmed herself to respond that way whenever someone asks her about something like Scaife-gate or Sniper-gate.

But despite that fairly transparent subterfuge, I thought she did pretty well. KO asked her tough (if predictable) questions, and she was prepared for them.

29. What is elite about making an observation. It is not a ridiculous question and
I'm certain that a majority of Americans would feel the same way (very unsettled) if they watched a montage of her reactions under pressure.

He quit years ago over the Monica fatigue if you recall.

I think he was a little offended.
