Kerry plans Fourth of July swing through eastern Iowa

<Presumptive Democratic nominee John Kerry is planning a Fourth of July weekend campaign swing to eastern Iowa during a Midwestern tour focused on rural issues.

Gov. Tom Vilsack, who will accompany the Massachusetts senator during parts of his trip to Iowa, said Kerry will have a “traditional, old-fashioned Independence Day celebration” in Iowa.

“I don’t know that there’s a better place in America to celebrate the spirit of America during the Independence holiday than the heartland of this great country,” Vilsack said.

Kerry is scheduled to spend Saturday, July 3, in Dubuque and the holiday touring small communities in Northeast Iowa and visiting the Field of Dreams near Dyersville.>

if so he meant hating FUNDRAISING. not going there in itself. he was specifically talking about raising funds.

who the *heck* :eyes: are you to interpret what he 'meant'??? (that he just hated fundraising?) I haven't heard Kerry say anything similar in regard to New York, Chicago, Los Angles, or any of the 'cool places', Have you?

he was talking about fundraising specifically. and he gave an example of doing it in iowa. drudge and others tried to attack him for this during the primary and it didn't work.

and he mentioned austin or some other city also. he was just giving examples of places to go fundraising. but his "hatred" was about the fundraising, not the cities.
