Yeah, they are European News, but I think their coverage is pretty neutral and prolly would hold a better debate than any of the US News Org's can now. Every news org in the US has some bias one way or another anymore and it's a damn shame what it has become now.

2. Bloggers - heck high school gowernment students - could do
a better job. I would love to see Kos, Skinner, Babylonsister, Jane Hamsher, Christy Hardin Smith, McJoan etc asking serious questions and followups.

6. Just have each candidate go on Top Gear and do a lap.
Fastest lap wins the nom. And the interviews with Jeremy Clarkson would be priceless.

I would pay to see that happen!! I love that show and those guys, I am a middle-aged woman who watches every show even the reruns!!! Seeing Clinton and McCain have to deal with Jeremy would be priceless!! I think Obama could give Stig a run for his money though. Wonderful idea!!!!

By the way, I love the idea of the BBC doing the debates. They might actually ask some real questions.

Edited to add a thought and correct my really stupid spelling. MUST USE SPELL CHECK!!!!

10. Yes. In fact, it was pretty much modelled on the Beeb at the start...
...plus it's public broadcasting and thus way more centre-left than either CTV or Global. But at the same time, the CBC is pretty even-handed. And at least one reporter/host made a very big fool out of Ann Coulter a short while back.

And while you're at it, the US should maybe outsource its federal election to Elections Canada. They're non-partisan, they manage to get everything done in about a month, and they can produce all the nice paper ballots you need, to be marked with an X -- and they'll be consistent throughout the country.
