I'm on the floor in a fetal position today...
I'm an Obama supporter, but it's apparent that whomever our nominee is, they have two opponents, the Media and the Republicans. I realize this isn't news to any astute watcher of politics, but with each four year cycle, I'm becoming more bitter and cynical. How the hell are we supposed to win in these circumstances?

Pretty bad when you have to take Xanax after a fucking debate. :-(

1. This is a tough fight.
The puppeteer behind the curtain wasn't going to give up the strings to the White House easily. It is going to become even tougher in the fall. But we will we will win. Count on it.

than "Xanex"..I didn't watch 'cause I knew what it would like and I'm just glad that Obama can handle that with all the grace he can muster.

Like the email from David Plouffe today..

"Did you see the debate last night?

If you did, you saw more gotcha politics and distractions than questions about the pressing issues affecting our country."

24. The DLC/PPI/PNACers have money, power, and media access, but we have the numbers.
Yeah, c'mon
Love my girl
She lookin' good
C'mon
One more

Five to one, baby
One in five
No one here gets out alive, now
You get yours, baby
I'll get mine
Gonna make it, baby
If we try

The old get old
And the young get stronger
May take a week
And it may take longer
They got the guns
But we got the numbers
Gonna win, yeah
We're takin' over
Come on!

Yeah!

Your ballroom days are over, baby
Night is drawing near
Shadows of the evening crawl across the years
Ya walk across the floor with a flower in your hand
Trying to tell me no one understands
Trade in your hours for a handful dimes
Gonna' make it, baby, in our prime

Come together one more time ..............

Yes, the media and the Republicans are our opponents and we know it will be a battle. But WE need to be the ones who make a difference. If we all lay down on the floor ina fetal position, they win.

8. Obama was made for this. He is the first "Post-24 hr. News" candidate.
He is the first candidate anyone has seen who grew up with the 24 hours news cycle.

He is uniquely poised to take them on, like a mountain goat is made for climbing up mountains.

Have confidence. He did not get this far, against these odds for nothing. He got here because of Darwinian nature of this process.

He is the only person that can beat them back.

He also knows that his supporters are there for him and want to stop the dirty tricks.

He is our LEADER and he respects our abilities and our passion for CHANGE.

16. LOL! I can understand your frustration but remember this...
there comes a point when the American people will fight back and stand up to their growing bitterness and frustrations that they see daily when they wake up @ the pump, or their decaying homes, and more....there's always a point when the people realize that no matter how much spin the media and the repubs can say before even a toddler can even tell that it is BS and will fight back.

I've been watching your country for some time and i tend to notice that when the American people get complacent about the happenings in their lives they always resort to going republican...from my pov i notice that Americans prefer to be "ruled" by a republican but when the repubs make a mess of things (which they always end up doing) then the American people start crying to mommy and go in large numbers to a democrat to fix that problem...and once that problem is fixed they will dump the party and go back to republicans...

It's veyr similar to women and their preference for the Bad boy, but will always end up getting hurt by the bad boy and will cry to the Good boy to make her feel better and then when the tears stop will always jump back to the Bad Boy....sure the repubs aren't good for the mind and body but the bad boy drama is always exciting.

18. No giving up!
Its time to fight this is only the beginning, so be ready for two kitchen sinks to be thrown once the republicons start. I am listening to Obama on CNN right now and someone asked him how will he fight in the general and he basically said that he is giving Hillary a little respect because she is a Democrat but it will be different when going against a republiCON.

Some of these RepubliCONS are insane I have been watching them for years and they will do anything to win we have many people who are working to help Obama I will never give up remember it is about WE THE PEOPLE.

And I'll make martinis for everyone.

35. It's part of the cycle, and the thought that the RW has bought
up a lot of the media adds to the perspective. The conservative operatives have been working for years on taking over the media, (it was never all that liberal anyway), and they have gone out of their way to ensure they own whatever the see as a "threat"...the only losers in this are the members of the public. THe majority of people still believe they are being told the truth on many matters, and since they rarely, if ever investigate anything, the public is it's own worst enemy.

We could be invaded tomorrow, but the majority of "news" outlets would tell us more about Brittney Spears...it is disgusting.
