DNC CHAIRMAN FAVORS EDWARDS FOR KERRY MATE

**Exclusive**

Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, favors John Edwards for the second slot on the party's presidential ticket, tops sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

In recent days, McAuliffe, who initially favored Edwards for the second slot in 2000, has been confiding in associates how the North Carolina senator is the strongest contender to lift Kerry to complete victory in the fall.

McAwful might be Edwards' Al Gore. McAwful first brought us the primaries on Steroid where many didn't even get a choice on who would be the candidate...now he's picking Kerry's Veep? Shit, with McAwful around, we certainly don't need anyone else.

Well at least Wes Clark is mentioned favorably in 10 pages (per the index) in Clinton's book. Now that the kind of permanent endorsement that many will subconciously file into their memory banks. That's a classy way to do mouth approval for someone....Not just coming out and and screamkng it to the world via Drudge!

Yuk.....Can't wait for Terry to go. I understand that Kerry can't wait either.
