Mayhill Fowler: Obama camp response has been "classy"
Respect from and for the woman who broke the "bitter" story

""They haven't denied me any kind of access," Fowler said. "From the time I started following them around last June, they have been a classy operation, and I still think they are. They haven't treated me any differently than before."

Fowler rejected charges -- voiced in the blogosphere and elsewhere -- that she'd deliberately broken the story to harm Obama on Hillary's behalf."

1. If she really meant well she would have discussed w/ Obama before the story.
She could have went up the chain of his campaign and got a few minutes of Obama's time to discuss the issue which would have been more fair to the campaign since they did give her access. But she did not return the favor but went for herself and breaking a big story.

What she did, just doesn't sit right with me and smells of a rat.

But I just love what this is showing about Obama and his campaign. They treat even rats with respect and courtesy;)

9. To me the biggest unreported story in this whole kerfuffle
is not what Obama said, or that Fowler reported it, or even that a desperate Clinton used it but the completely crazy way that the MSM jumped on it as the biggest scandal since the Teapot Dome.

The media played this like there was no tomorrow and there seemed to be a specific intent to kill off the Obama candidacy for reasons that are a bit murky to me at this time (the usual suspects being corporate directives, desire to promote HRC - McCain battle, desire to promote Saint John, etc.).

My own interpretation is that they wanted to see if (once again) Obama could take the heat.

10. She started following Obama in June
And donated to Fred Thompson's presidential campaign on November 8, 2007.

She broke the story for McCain, not Clinton.

(Clinton's use of this Nixonian skullduggery is another matter)
