He's mad, and full of it: AP: "Obama: Clinton using GOP playbook"

You'll find the source of the title near the end:

------------------------------

Obama's focus turned to Clinton when he began fielding questions, though, reflecting what aides say is a rising anger after days of criticism of his comments.

Asked about the impact of the long nominating battle on the party's chances of winning the White House, he said, "I have tried to figure out how to show restraint and make sure that, during this primary contest, we're not damaging each other so badly that it's hard for us to run in November.

"Obviously, it's a little easier for me to say that, since, you know, I lead in delegates and states and popular vote."

Clinton "may not feel that she can afford to be so constrained," he said, adding at one point that she's "been deploying most of the arguments that the Republican Party will be using against me in November."

COMMENT:

Condescending, yep, but that ain't the point.

He's making an argument that anything, ANYTHING, Hillary might say in regards to him would be, "arguments that the Republican Party will be using against me in November."

What a cop out. And btw, more repuke like than Hillary highlighting Obama's own words. He said them, she didn't. But rule number one of Obama's strategy is to call the opponent a repuke. He started the campaign calling Hillary "bush/cheney lite." He was booed for comparing her to gouliani and romney at a Dem debate. But here we are again. How can you use someone's own words against them? Many DUers have no trouble holding HIllary to every word she ever uttered. But it is repuke-like in that the repukes may use Obama's own words against him in the Fall, should he be the nom? And therefore Hillary should not criticize anything Obama ever says?

Is that the crux of the issue? He is above being held accountable for his own words?

Bullshit.

1. She IS using Repuke talking points
Her and McCain are saying the exact same thing! And I think he's explained his comments quite well, AND he's apologized for offending anyone. He didn't attack her for sniper-gate or NAFTA-gate, I don't see why she has to go negative and attack him.

10. Sorry, but that is bullshit.
Didn't attack her for "spipergate" or NAFTAgate? Huh?!

Too, apologizing for something just because some found it offensive is not the same as apologizing for something because you didn't mean what you said. He did the same thing with the reverend.

But. He. Didn't.

Hillary is beyond the pale.

11. I haven't noticed any Obama endorsements of McSame lately, have you?
But I have noticed that Hillary deliberately made a point of lauding McCains "experience" over Obamas,
several times on national TV no less.

I think this pretty much tells the story, and reveals Hillary to be in the kitchen sink desperation mode,
and Obama being true to himself and to the voters.

12. Here's one of Hillary's plays...
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 09:34 PM by Cali_Democrat
This play is called, "Convince Pennsylvanians your Annie Oakley while downing shots and telling American's they have nothing to be bitter about."

Works every time, except this time because Obama's got a stellar defense
