How the mighty have fallen (HRC delegate switches to Obama)
http://www.star-telegram.com/245/story/578045.html

The fact that I was elected an alternate to the county convention, supporting Hillary Clinton, caused a crisis of conscience for me from which I have yet to recover. But as frustrating and confusing as the Texas primary process is, it has a hidden beauty: Any delegate or alternate can switch allegiance to another candidate at any time, and for any reason, during the arduous delegate selection process.

So in the wee hours of the morning before the Senate District 10 convention, I knew I had to give up on Clinton and my dream of seeing a woman in the White House -- at least during this election cycle.

4. Great news! I am not sure I can stand much more of this roller coaster ride
of a primary. Please let this ride end soon with Obama as our nominee.

6. So this woman changed her mind and went over to Obama. She then broke her word
and didn't honor her committment to the voters of Texas. Then she wrote a collumn repeating the Obama talking points, not bringing up any actual issue, but smearing Hillary personally. Then she lied and claimed that there was some sort of sea change after the election, when Hillary actually picked up an extra delegate at the convention.

It just goes to show that caucuses are not elections. Fortunately, she was an alternate. And the talking points were so well-delivered it seems clear that they were written by the Obama campaign. More hatred from Barack....what a shocker.

Steve

7. Is this from a supporter of the candidate who says the delegates aren't really "pledged"?
Doesn't it make you feel a little hypocritical?

8. Wel, YOUR candidate made a point of there being no such thing as a "pledged" delegate...
...Irony can be "bitter", can't it?

9. Well, no, actually, if you trouble to read the article
She didn't vote for Obama. She decided not to attend the convention.

If you ever read the article, you'll get an understanding of her initial support for Clinton and her heartbreak at being let down.

Anyway, as others have pointed out, even if she had "gone over" to Obama, that wouldn't be any worse than what the Clinton campaign has tried to get people to do.
