I don't know if that's the EXACT quote.

I'm listening to the feed on 1480 KPHX and she's playing a speech she gave today.

She said something about McCain ?????? than either of the Democrats.

The audience didn't like he -- she said "I'm not making it so - that's just what I think"

Then she cut into it for a commercial (which is running now)

Hope she follows up after the break.

Shit, I hate hearing that.

1. She's been saying that for several weeks
She said in the past that unless the Democrats end this nomination fight soon it gives McCain too much of an advantage for the GE.

And Im doubtful she means annoint Hillary either.

7. I LOVE Rachel and most of the time I agree with her, but not this time.
It looks to me like Hillary is losing ground little by little every day. I don't blame Hillary for staying in the fight. There's still 10 primaries to go! Let's give at LEAST Pa., Ind., NC, a chance. IF Barack wins Pa, NC, and Ind. Hillary will quit. She's NOT STUPID! I happen to think the more people try to force her to quit before that the more she will try to fight back. Sort of like when people insist that I quit smoking. My response is always "You can't tell me what to do!" But I quietly quit on my own when I decided our wonderful government was putting way too many taxes on cigarettes and I simply wasn't willing to pay them. It was MY DECISION! can't you understand that's where I think Hillary is right now.

3. Rachel has been saying that for weeks now
Her context is that our long drawn out primary is only helping Grandpa McLoony, and if we don't have a nominee until August, he gets a free ride from the whore media, and we won't have much time to tear him down.

Rachel is too polite to attach the blame for this where it belongs. I'm not. It falls on the candidate who can't use a calculator.

6. If McCain wins, it won't be because of the Dem primary.
That's just setting up an excuse, or for some creating a rationale for calling for one candidate or the other to drop out. I do it, too. I think Obama should drop out so we have a chance to win.

But it's just rhetoric. If McCain wins, he'll win by getting the moderate vote against either a candidate whose lack of experience makes him look weak, or a candidate who's been so maligned people can't see her straight. Either can beat him, but people have been acting like all we have to do is nominate someone and show up. It won't work that way.

One problem for us is Bush's low numbers. He is so universally despised that not even Republicans like him, so a lot of people think his failure transcends party politics. They can blame him for the war, the economy, and everything else, so not as many people will hold it against McCain.

Clinton's popularity didn't put Gore in the White House, and Bush's unpopularity won't put our candidate in this time, either. It's going to be a long, hard, tough, expensive, dirty, maddening, and bloody battle, and the outcome will probably be just as close as the last two.

Of course, it's possible for McCain to melt down completely, but he's got enough experience to make that unlikely.

What annoys and amuses me over this primary is that it's exactly the kind of primary everyone said they wanted in 04. Back then, people were angry that it was over so quickly, that states with late primaries were meaningless. Now we got what we wanted last time, and people are upset about THAT.

I got the same feeling (that he would win). I hope I'm wrong.

10. McCain has as much chance to win as any of our two candidates.
It's going to be a close race.
