During the filming of Cinderella Man, we were shooting a kid's birthday party scene on a very warm and sunny day, in '30s costume, next to some large, black cars that threw off a lot of heat. And our characters were required to smoke filterless ciggy after filterless ciggy, so I got a powerful brown taste in the mouth. After about 15 takes, I'd mentioned to one of the guys with me that I could sure use a swig of water. Renée, who wasn't in the shot, came up to me a few minutes later and said, "I overheard you saying you needed some water. I don't think they're breaking soon, so I'll grab you one." And then she did.
