Dems want our input into the party platform
http://www.democrats.org/platform/

Over the next two months, the Democratic Party will draft its Platform. Now is your chance to make your voice heard. Start by picking your section and issue first and then tell us what you think should be included in the Platform. All entries will be read carefully, and some will even appear in the 2004 Platform. This is your chance to be the next Thomas Jefferson.

2. Yea right why don't they just post the DLC statement of principles
and get it over with. They have no interest in our ideas or concerns the "Platform" was written by the DLC in 2000 and they ain't changing anything. My guess is there will be no mention of civil rights women's rights or the bill of rights, it will be a corp love fest and a warmongers toast to the future. Damn I hate having to dis my own party, but until a stake is driven into the heart of the DLC we won't have a democratic party and no progressive issues will even be given voice.

4. Give me a break
I'm cynical, but I recognize a good gesture when I see one.

9. there's no "energy" option in the menu . . .
the best thing Kerry could do would be to announce a "Manhattan Project" to switch the country to alternative sources of energy . . . such an initiative would create jobs, boost the economy, establish the US as the leader in an emerging field, and eventually get us off the oil teat . . .

he has the highest ratings on being pro environment from the lcv and they even endorsed him earlier than they usually endorse because he has such a great record.

12. Do they have the "Pay Pal" Donation button there when you finish?
They are always sending me surveys to fill out and then they ask me to check the box for my donation.

I think Kucinich's platform is the best. I signed his and he will take it to the convention. I'm not going to bother with this one. Been burned too much with this stuff from the Party Ops.

13. They Sure Didn't Listen Pre-Iraq Invasion
nope...especially Hillary, Edwards, Kerry, Gebhardt, and the rest of the fools who voted to give Bush a green light to do anything he wanted and he did.
