Question about campaign contributions, I want to contribute to

the Kerry campaign. Question; After Kerry announces his acceptance of the nomination, do understand correctly that he will be using public funds, and thats the main reasons for delaying the announcement. Does that mean there is a cut off date for accepting and using private contributions. I was going to wait until after he announced his running mate, figuring that they would need money to produce new signs, buttons, etc. reflecting both names. Can some explain to me how all this will play out so I can make sure that I get money to the campaign while I still can. RR

2. I think you can contribute up to $2000 before the nomination and another

$2000 after the nomination.

Once he accepts the nomination he will be taking Federal Funds and will be limited to the 75 mil he gets. You can contribute to the DNC or any of the congress or senate campaigns after.
