Wes Clark to be on Today Show Tues am

I just got an email from the WesPAC executive director. Part of the text of the email:

I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know of an important TV appearance Wes Clark is making Tuesday morning, to discuss the current situation in Iraq and comment on President Bush's Monday evening address to the nation.

General Clark will be appearing on NBC's Today Show near the beginning of the program at 7:00am ET. For viewers in the Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones, check your local listings for broadcast time. <snip>


This looks like it will be well worth watching if you can catch it.

3. They seem to keep on trial ballooning Clark for the VP nomination

How come they don't put Richardson, Gephardt, Bayh, and Edwards on TV so much? My gut tells me Kerry wants Clark, but Kerry's conventional-wisdom advisors keep debating Richardson & Edwards (while Labor keeps pumping for Gep and the swing staters keep pushing Bayh). I think it'll say something about Kerry when he finally decides. I can certainly live with any one of them, but my bias is obvious.

I happened to be in a ROOM with Wes tonight and heard directly from him that he will be on the Today Show tomorrow

Okay, I'm bragging. He shook my hand. His was warm. Mine was hot.

The whole damn place was hot with no air conditioning. I almost dropped dead from the heat.

We had a wonderful Clarkie dinner beforehand and I got to meet so many great DUers, FrenchieCat, RobbedVoter, Tom Rinaldo, Madmax, LuLu, Jai and more!

Wes was snazzy in a tux. He said he misses hugging us. :cry:

Jane Mitakides who is running for congress in Ohio was there and Anne Wolfe who is running for the 5th district in New Jersey. Wes is going to be campaigning for Tom Daschle.

But the main message of the evening: the man wants us off our asses and out there working for Kerry and no nevermind about it.
