C-Span idiot
This is too good to pass up. C-Span is taking calls on the * address, and there was a string of Dems saying that * was "appalling" and "cowardly". Suddenly we get an idiot from Broward County, FL, who says "Bush is mah hero. I lahke 'is honesty and Ah think he's carin'." (Or something to that effect). Yeah, they're that dumb, and they're out there.

1. I've noticed something with the rank-and-file Bush voter.
Edited on Mon May-24-04 07:53 PM by elperromagico
When they talk about Bush, they always speak in meaningless generalities. "He's a strong leader," "He does what he says he'll do," "He's a moral man, not like that last guy we had in there," or something to that effect.

However, when pressed for specific policies or accomplishments of this Administration, they go silent. They cannot think of anything worthwhile this President* has done, other than stick his chest out and play John Wayne for the fucking TV cameras!!!

I am becoming increasingly convinced that there are only two types of Bush voter: those who don't know any better and those who are reaping a personal profit.

5. Debating them can be a great deal of fun,
Edited on Mon May-24-04 08:10 PM by elperromagico
but it's so damned frustrating. It's a bit like discussing a novel with someone who's only read the chapter titles. They have their talking points, but they're clueless beyond that. Challenge them on one of their talking points, and they're lost.

7. Or they resort to BCC: Blame Clinton's Cock.
I often wonder, do these people blame Clinton's cock when they get a flat tire?

I disagree with Bush on almost every issue in this country, but I'm not so foolish as to blame him for every single problem in the world. If it's storming outside, I don't raise my fist to the heavens and cry, "Bush!!!"

add to that "he's a straight talker." and "he understands the average American" and "I'd like to have a beer with him" and he have the whole GOP campaign basically (add some fear mongering and race baiting and you have it all). Pathetic...

8. In the "official" 2000 vote count, Gore won Broward 67-31.
Of course, when your party is decidely in the minority, it's likely to make you a bit angry... Imagine how a Democrat in Idaho feels. ;)

11. Doesn't C-Span screen its calls for morons?
But morons have a first amendment right too so we'll just have to put up with it until Bush exits the building.

12. And they always pick the ones
with the most hick accents...
So... well, maybe that's not so bad afterall.
I'm from the South, but I don't sound hick and, well, quite frankly, wouldn't want to associate with people who, not only talk that way, but think that way. :D
