Kerry up 5 in Pennsylvania
Yay!

http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-a1_5pollmay21,0,2624931.story?coll...

"In a hypothetical matchup held today, Democrat John F. Kerry, a U.S. senator from Massachusetts, would defeat Bush 48 percent to 43 percent in Pennsylvania. The combatants were dead even two months ago; Bush held a seven percentage point lead last November."

...

On the negative side, it's a poll of only 400 people, and they are registered voters, not likelye voters. Also, someone seems to think that Pennsylvania has 19 Electoral votes, when in reality it has 21. Both of these factors cut into the credibility of the poll a bit...

...

"The poll reflects the opinions of 400 registered voters interviewed May 5-14. Its margin of error is plus or minus 4.9 percentage points."

...

"Bush lost the Keystone State to Democrat Al Gore by slightly more than 200,000 votes four years ago. With 19 electoral votes at stake, Pennsylvania is considered a must-win for both hopefuls."

For an incumbent president to have just 43 percent of the vote in a battleground is bad news for him.

5. There is no doubt in my mind, cause I live here
There was a story the other night on the news about the MP troops from Abu Graib, all of the soldiers were stripped of their medals, even the ones that had nothing to do with it.

There are prayer vigils going on during the Court martials. Bush lost this state.

And then Berg. There is no way he is going to take PA.

7. I'm very happy with these results
I go to Muhlenberg and work in the polling center where this survey was conducted. I was pretty worried since I seemed to get a lot more Bush supporters on the phone than Kerry supporters.

8. This is good news
There was another poll that showed Kerry ahead by a similar margin.
