Kucinich and the LaRouchie
LaRouche may be a whackjob, but Dennis treats everyone with respect.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/05/20/pcc/

Supporters of presidential hopeful Lyndon LaRouche pressed Kucinich to comment on a document published by the LaRouche campaign.

Admitting he hadn't read it, Kucinich thanked them for their energy and commitment to the Democratic Party and asked the audience to join him in congratulating "someone who represents another candidate."

"Kucinich was open to everyone," said Warncke. "You didn't need a ticket. It wasn't blockaded."

2. I see LaRouche fliers in my neighborhood
and I hear his ads on AAR. Who the fuck supports this wack job.

I remember back in the early 80s, I had finished work early on Saturday morning, and I was waiting for the bus near Pioneer Square in Portland, when I noticed a big gathering in the square. They were marching in a big circle, and burning effigies of Mark Hatfield and someone else. I approached the marchers to see what they were all about, and it turns our they were LaRouchies. Good God, they were wacked. With glazed eyes, they entreated me to march with them. I declined, but I accepted their literature. It was nothing but insane conspiracy theories. Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick! LaRouche is friggin nuts. And here we are, some 20 years later, and this nutter is running as a Dem???? WTF???

OK, Rant over.

3. Dennis was brought up a true Christain
Not sure how Dennis would handle LaRouche himself? But, one of his supporters.. DK lives by his creed by living a peaceful life.
Ever see him in a debate format with repugs on news programs.
Respect is what Kucinich is about. He beats the hell out of the Repugs but does it without harsh words...
Anyone think Dennis slanders Kerry. He is incapable of it.

7. In Santa Ana, Kucinich asked people to show respect for the representative

from Mr. LaRouche during a question and answer session.

It shows that Kucinich is a better Democrat than the people who are constantly attacking LaRouche and his supporters.

I don't know much about LaRouche and, since I don't think he'll make that much of an impact, I'm not that interested. However, a number of his supporters are major players in the Democratic Party and they are some of the nicest, most liberal people in the Party. They are all planning to work hard for Kerry. Perhaps it's time people stopped the witchhunts and followed Dennis's example by treating them with respect.

8. I was there!
I was just remembering that as I read down the thread. My first meeting, and first opportunity for a one-on-one conversation with him.

I have to admit to knowing nothing at all about LaRouche. But Dennis conducts himself with honor and dignity, and I was awed to see, in person, a politician treating dissenters with honest respect. All in all, Dennis is unique.
