Again, this is not possible. Do they only poll Fox viewers or something. Can someone please point me to a better place to get polling without having to pay for it.

5. Rasmussen says lttle change over last 70 days - a 45 to 45 poll
Edited on Thu May-20-04 08:54 PM by papau
Rasmussen says little change over last 70 days - a 45 to 45 poll - because over 70 separate samples have both candidates within 3 percentage points of the 45% mark and a sampling error of +/-3 percentage points -a close and stable race.

But Rasmussen observes that Bush loses a bit when bad news comes from Iraq, but a week later is back to 45%. And He claims Kerry loses a bit every time he gets focused on - which I believe means whenever Kerry gives a 10 minute answer to a yes/no question - or tries to play the "middle" as with the abortion and judges response - folks just do not respect that this cycle - but when the light leaves Kerry and goes back to Bush, Rassmusen says Kerry's numbers bounce back. All this leads Rassmusen to believe that events in Iraq and the economy will determine the outcome.

I really do not like that comment that Kerry's polling numbers go down whenever the media folk show a video of him making his latest statement.

6. Some days on DU
Rasmussen is cited as a positive poll because Kerry is leading. Then practically the next day he is cited as a pug poll because Bush is leading. All I can say is I don't trust Rasmussen anyway since he was way off the mark in 2000--the final weekend he gave Bush an 8-point lead. But the fact is any poll which has Bush ahead will be in disrepute on DU.

7. Amazingly Fox/WSJ have very solid polls (spot on in 2000 and 2002)…
Zoby varies sometimes “spot on”, sometimes way off, Carville’s firm Democracy Corps are good but shave about a point off the Dem totals and Teeter/Hart (GOP firm are good) but as with Carville’s firm they have a bias but this time towards the GOP so shave 1-2% off the GOP totals in their polls.

Undecideds are climbing but Kerry is not, Bush is losing ground its just voters aren’t either confident or enthusiastic about Kerry and he seems unable to address either quickly and decisively. But I will spare you the “if only we had nominated Edwards” its true but unhelpful.
