Federal Review Composite Poll (5/18): Bush 275-Kerry 263

Turn Toward Kerry Bush 46.83 | Kerry 49.45
May 18, 2004

The polls are heading Kerry's way, as he gets his biggest lead this week in the Composite Poll. Bush maintains a very slight lead in the Electoral Vote -- held up by state polling. If Arkansas falls into the Kerry column, we'd have a tied race, and the House of Representatives would supplant the Electoral College.

Now, to the data.

2. I agree w/ you about PA....
I just don't see it going red. Especially when Hoeffel should hand Specter his lunch in the Senate race.

AR and AZ are definite toss-ups...

8. i'm with you both. no way pa goes repuke this year, unless ridge is vp
one reason i would not be disappointed with gephardt on the ticket is that his ties with traditional labor would help put feet on the ground in the industrial based battleground states, pa being one of them.

Adding Edwards may help Kerry
N.C. running mate would create a challenge for Bush in state, poll finds

If the presidential election were held this month, North Carolinians would choose President Bush over Sen. John Kerry in large numbers - unless Sen. John Edwards was on the ticket, too, according to a new statewide poll.

Bush handily beat Kerry 48 percent to 41 percent in a Mason-Dixon poll released yesterday.

But with Edwards as Kerry's vice-presidential running mate, the race tightens to a statistical dead heat - 46 percent to 45 percent.
