To ALL who are considering deserting the party if their candidate doesn't win the nomination:
You will be aiding McStain in his bid for the presidency. Not voting for the Democratic nominee WHOMEVER it is should be seen as 1/2 of a vote for McStain. At some point, you will have the blood of young American servicemen/women on your hands.

Let us not forget that McStain has said he envisions American servicemen/women in Iraq for 100 years. That means he envisions Iraq to be a place like the Philippines. A place we conquered, then occupied. That will never be. Iraqis will blow themselves and our young treasure up for however long we continue to stay. It will NEVER end.

Our candidates have both stated their wish to bring the troops home SOONER, rather than LATER. Our way will likely save untold numbers of servicemen/women, not to mention those of innocent Iraqis. His way will surely cost them. Wake up.

So, in my mind, anyone who whines that they're not going to vote for the Dem candidate because DUers were mean to them should be seen as possible if not PROBABLE traitors to progressive ideals, and banned forever from this site.

My gut and my heart tell me that in all reality, everyone here will be voting for the Dem candidate come November. But having read as many times as I have that Clinton supporters won't vote for Obama, or vice versa due to their silly treatment on a political blog makes me wonder how many of us are speaking the truth.

Repeat after me: I WILL BE VOTING FOR THE DEM NOMINEE, WHOMEVER IT IS. Doesn't that make you feel better?

Now, let's get on with the business of destroying McStain instead of our chances for a brighter future.

Peace.

2. I am a teacher
I will vote for the party that will abolish "No child left untested". That, of course, would be the Democratic Party. I like both candidates, and I hope they work it out. Let ambition go and think about our country, people!:bounce:

6. Thank you but
Hope someone listens here at DU!!!!
No Child Left Behind is destroying public schools. The thought behind it is to destroy the public school system in this country in favor of private schools. They are not tested.
If you vote for McCain, you vote for continuing NCLB. IMHO, there is no better reason to vote next fall. Let's face it, the rest is personality. The difference between their (Hillary and Obama) platforms is nothing compared to McCain.
Get a grip people!
Look at the issues and not their personalities!!!
A teacher in public schools....

10. I will vote for hillary in the unlikely event that it comes down to it
but I'll have to hold my nose and take a hot shower afterwards. I told someone in another thread that if they don't vote Democrat then they don't have the luxury of coming here and bitching and moaning about President McCain.
