Lightening up a little bit.....anyone been watching Jeopardy?

Has anyone been watching Power Players week....this week's Jeopardy? I was pleased to see Al Franken win his match, but something occurred to me after today's match: As a group, people who peruse and post on Democratic Underground are probably better informed about current events and past political history and general info than the so-called Media Movers and Shakers, and political players. Kinda scary, huh?

1. Power Players...I think not!

The caliber of questions asked during this weeks Power Players tournament was sub-par for the usual Jeopardy games. If I only saw the questions, no players or voices I'd guess it was teen tournament week. It was good to see Al Franken win, but to be honest, it if was me, I'd be embarrassed if I didn't win! I had no problem whatsoever getting the answers correct before any players rung in, and I'm just of average intelligence. It scares me that these people are considered the media movers and shakers. Time to stop worrying about the image projected and delve deeply into the content!

2. You're right about the easy questions.

But allow for the fact that many of these 'players' are getting . . . erah . . . old.

3. The caliber of questions is ALWAYS lowered during any

Jeopardy tournament involving celebrities and others in the public eye. We private-citizen contestants have to sweat for our bread. Peace.
