1. Great!
Law enforcement officers see the cuts in their funding, as well as the effects of bush policies. No one with an open mind can be pleased with bush & cheney.

3. Police Union usually calls for more stringent gun control
and for funding so they can actually do their job.

NYPD and the NYFD have applied for permits to protest the Republican convention.

4. more background (Kerry Press Release)
More Cops Endorse Kerry: Reflects John Kerry's Strong Anti-Crime Record, Bush's Failures to Support Law Enforcement, Says Campaign

<snip>

The International Brotherhood of Police Officers (IBPO) is the only major national police organization to have endorsed the winner of the last three presidential elections. Today, IBPO endorses John Kerry because of his strong anti-crime record and because of President Bush's consistent failure to support law enforcement in the battle against crime and the war against terror. Joining the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA) in support of John Kerry, IBPO sends another message that John Kerry stands for a strong and safe America.

5. Looks like it's about time for freepers to hate the 9-11 heroes again.
They were all aglow over cops and firemen post 9-11, especially the few who booed Hillary at the 9-11 memorial.

Since then, as Shrubby has cut more and more benefits and funding and their union roots started showing, the freepers have gone back to treating them like they treat any other union.

7. Another reason to be filled with terror about the next five months....
These people in Cheney-Rove Land, have not finished their mission - they need fourt more years.
They haven't bled us dry yet, they need four more years.
They haven't taken over enough countries, they need four more years. They haven't made enough money yet, they need four more years.
They haven't made enough enemies yet, they need four more years.
They haven't privatized everything yet, they need four more years.

They will be desparate and anything is possible - from nuclear to a national disaster and a claim that the election needs to be cancelled.

Beware! We may have not seen anything yet.

10. And they supported Bush in 2000.
From
www.johnkerry.com

The International Brotherhood of Police Officers (IBPO) endorsed John Kerry on Friday. The union endorsed George Bush in 2000. But IBPO President David Holway said that "after three and a half years of disappointing leadership under George Bush, we we need to change course in November and elect a President with a real record of supporting police officers and a lifetime of standing with law enforcement."
