Obama plans six-day Pennsylvania road trip - kicks off Friday

Obama plans six-day Pennsylvania road trip
Posted by BRETT LIEBERMAN, Of The Patriot-News March 24, 2008 15:44PM

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama, who has spent more days campaigning outside Pennsylvania than in the commonwealth since the contest for the state's April 22 primary began, plans a six-day bus tour of the state.

Obama will launch what his campaign has called the "Road to Change" Bus Tour across Pennsylvania.

Tour stops haven't been announced, but the road trip will begin Friday in western Pennsylvania and conclude in the southeast.

Presumably along the way he'll make it to central Pennsylvania, which has already seen at least half a dozen campaign events by Hillary Rodham Clinton, daughter Chelsea or former President Bill Clinton, who will be in the Harrisburg area, Reading, State College and Pottstown Thursday.

Hillary Clinton was campaigning in southeastern Pennsylvania today and Greensburg on Tuesday.

5. We will see. Remember anything under a 20-point Hillary blow-out is a win for Obama
:)

The bar has been set.

20. At least he does not stub states that are deemed pro-Hillary. Hillary
ignores just about every state she feels she does not have a good shot in. She has improved a tiny bit about going to the states since she got the new campaign manager but still does not give it her all.

23. Nor does Obama snub areas of
States that are so-called "pro clinton". Obama has no fear..he'll go anywhere in our 50 States and talk to them.

4. Good. I was wondering when he would begin to aggressively campaign in the state.
BTW, he'll be in NC on Wednesday, according to his site. Looking ahead to other states, and not focusing on only one--the strategy that has worked for him.

30. If he has done in PA like he did in TX...
He's already been aggressively campaigning...thru his grassroots volunteers.

Go pick up the Rolling Stone mag copy that has him on the cover. LONG article on how he had boots on the ground across the state long before HRC even was remotely thinking about TX.

8. I'm disappointed in his schedule
I think he should have spent as much time as he could in the days up to the registration deadline, and then gone to Oregon, Indiana, NC, etc during these six days.

16. I see the wisdom in it.
They LOVE him here in Oregon. Overflow crowds. After last week, he seemed to come roaring back. The endorsement helped too.

28. The most he can hope for in PA is to keep it within 10 pts.
The whole Wright thing was in full swing; it is good he has put some time and distance between his PA stops. Now the media is getting tired of Wright and I think this is the perfect time for him to make his PA push. There will be more focus on his policy and economic issues. If he extends his margins of victory in Oregon, it will make Hillary's win in PA irrelevant.

19. Yes, And The Work We Volunteers Have Done The Last Few Weeks Will Impact The Delegate Margin...
Wait a few days to see the numbers of new democratic voters registered in PA. Mrs. Clinton will be lucky to pick up 10 delegates.
