I am APPALLED. Not ONE SINGLE PRO-KERRY THREAD exactly when
he -- and OUR fight for an honest government back in the White House needs him the most?

SHAME ON YOU ALL.

Kerry IS a good man. Apparently, however, the people here have fallen prey to the ROVE LIES.

In November, EVERY VOTE for ANYONE BUT KERRY IS A VOTE FOR BUSH.

Shame on you.

Just DU-bashing.

Next time, put that effort into *constructive* criticism, rather than just destructive bashing.

Kerry is just one of them.

These photos are so appalling they need to be digested, absorbed and acted on.
For the moment the focus should be on the crime, not who we're going to have replace the criminals.

There's plenty of time to cheer Kerry later.

I guess I'm one of those people who saves being appalled for things that are truly appalling.

8. Too many here want Kerry to lose in November for their own vanity.
They insisted that Kerry was a loser and they want a Bush win to validate their year of hate-filled antiKerry posts.

Pure vanity.

9. I agree
The rhetoric against Kerry is really stupid. We have a candidate. We need to support this candidate. IMO, he is a really good candidate, i.e., smart, attractive, articulate; in short, all the things Bush isn't, not to mention his experience in the Senate. Dems do not need to get on the * bandwagon, exploiting every weakness they perceive, real or imagined.

Briefly, we can tear Kerry apart once he's in office; doing so now is aiding and abetting *.

13. Thank you, well said. I clicked on this forum and was just SHOCKED
to not see any threads SUPPORTING kerry, but a lot of em repeating the rovian lies.

I've posted good things about Kerry, but most importantly WE need to rally OUR support to the outside world. We all know he's our HOPE for the future. WE need to TELL EVERYONE ELSE.

Hopefully, pro-Kerry forces aren't wasting their time in these forums; I'd prefer they spend their precious time in more productive, pre-election activities, such as voter registration, phone calling, etc.

Edited on Mon May-10-04 03:14 PM by leftistagitator
We're all hoping that we can change their minds in the next 6 months, but people seem pretty stuck in their ways by this point. It's a shame too as we could use their help. There's also some freepers here disguising themselves as disgusted Greens or conservative Democrats who just can't stand that "lozer" Kerry. In the last presidential election they ended up banning anti-Gore threads, but no-one wants to go that far this time. Plus Kerry has been keeping a low profile as of late, so there's not much to discuss from him on the pro-Kerry side.

Edited on Mon May-10-04 03:31 PM by liberalnurse
That's his job at present. Don't blame the people......he has to do his bidding to the people first and foremost. The way I see it, it's his election to loose right now. I don't see him seizing the moment when *bush is weakening.......

18. Shame on YOU, What is there to post, Kerry isn't in the news nor is he
making news.

What should we just make up shit and get all happy for no effin reason?

I'll be honest. I don't like Kerry personally, I will hold my nose and vote for him just like I did for Gore. I am not happy that he is our candidate. I am not excited about his candidacy, nor has his campaign done anything to energize me. Admittedly I am not inclined to go out and make myself energized.

Just because I am a Democrat I don't have to get all giddy and run around lickin his ass.

If you want some pro-Kerry threads, POST SOME. If I agree with your post I'll post it. If I don't, I won't post anything. IF I can't say anything nice. I won't say anything.

This isn't a Pro Kerry Site, it is a pro Democratic site.

19. Kerry still has my vote
While I will vote for Kerry, I am also underwhelmed by his views and his stand.

I still maintain that Dean had a good chance of defeating Bush.

That is of no consequence now. Kerry is the man and I am also going to avoid any negative comments.

Besides, Bush is working on trying to tighten the noose around his own neck. Cheering on Kerry at this point seems a little moot. I, like many others, are outraged by the crimes at Abu Gharib perpetrated under the blessing of the present administration.

I just can't do cheer leading for Kerry. He does not inspire me to go out and campaign or donate. I wish it was the other way.....damn I want to fight and beat *bush . I've tried but I'm a poor lier and it shows....I can't sell him effectively so I just encourage folks to vote for him as our Democratic choice......and then focus on how bad *bush is.

Actually I find the anti-Kerry threads here entertaining for their usual posts in either of two camps:

1. Sore losers that can't fathom their candidate lost and prefer to live in a World where they can still ignore Kerry's record and issues. As the saying goes, sour grapes makes for bad whines.

2. People who have just signed on to DU and haven't done their homework on many issues, let alone know where Kerry stands on issues as well as the importance this presidential race is historically.

It's evident when I do tabling for Kerry as a grassroots volunteer and occasionally run into mealy-mouthed, clueless folks that think Kerry is "doing nothing" or "needs to get louder" or whatever. All I have to do is ask what issues they are talking about and they fumble the ball. They can't back up anything they accuse Kerry of.

I posted a pro-Kerry thread. Seven DUers posted for a total of TWELVE comments (that means five of them were mine). The Pro-Kerry Crowd seems to prefer to continue their rants against Howard Dean (and people who admire him), even though he is working daily to get Kerry elected.

There's enough shame to go around. Help yourself.

29. But at least you can see it as a beginning (as I do).
Many see it as the death knell for the Democrats (I thought that happened in '92, myself).

I'm a leftist, but the big picture is the wholesale slaughter of humans, civil rights, the economy, etc that is happening now.

Let's tear down the wall first and finesse it later, TYVM.

Three-quarters of the people on this site think Kucinich should be the Democratic nominee and that Kerry is making a horrible mistake by not makling him his VP choice. This is not exactly a cross-section of the Democratic Party here.
