Name That Strategy!
Heading into Pennsylvania, four weeks from today, how will the Clinton strategy morph from the current ones on display:

The "Insult 40 States" Strategy Kos Klassic
The "Insult 40 Superdelegates" Strategy (Bill Richardson)
The "Annoy The Media With Hourly Hyperbolic Conference Calls" Strategy
The "Move The Goalposts With Increasing Fervor" Strategy Pennsylvania Counts

Any guesses? The funnier, the better... :-)

6. How about Backstab the only two Dems who oversee national political networks
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 03:13 PM by blm
There were only two Democrats who controlled national political networks - and only one could use that network in the primary race.

Dean controls the DNC he had transformed into a 50 state traction machine.

Kerry controls a national network that he kept in place after 2004.

TeamClinton thought they would toss out Dean after having the nomination sewn up by Super Tuesday - but that didn't happen. They thought they could convince Kerry to ignore all the backstabbing they did during his campaign - but that didn't happen.

Now, WHO ended up with the only national political network in any working condition for the hard fought primary? Obama.

Who will be the nominee to gain the use of the national political network strengthened the past 3 years by Chairman Dean? Obama.

8. That's exactly right.
It's really been the most fascinating primary. You couldn't write ten years worth of West Wing episodes that would be as mindbending as any given five days on the 2008 Campaign Trail.

Kicking Dean's vision to the curb cost the Clinton campaign the nomination. There's a strategy, huh?

11. They assumed everybody would fall in line for the party's sake
Never thought that another candidate could come up from the grassroots in a relatively short time, become a viable candidate and actually beat them.

I have no sympathy for people that arrogant. It really confirms what we all learned in grade school: "honesty is the best policy" and "do unto others what you would have them do unto you".

13. That's an interesting one
What's going to be really interesting is that next week, the campaigns will start to leak their March fundraising numbers.

"Conventional wisdom" says that Obama had a "bad" month... but I have a feeling his donors don't agree. He's approaching https://donate.barackobama.com/page/smartproxy/my.barackobama.com/page/contribute_c/sofar08_lp/graphic">two million.

One really does have to wonder, if Clinton really does have a 10-20% chance at the nomination, and continues to raise funds, isn't she becoming the Jerry Brown of 2008?

Frankly, I've been thinking this for a while. I think she's continuing to campaign so she can continue to raise money.

For PA it will be "take me back to the 90s". Those happy golden years. And "experience" and always the subtle race card.
