Obama Adviser Runs Company at Center of Passport Controversy!!!!
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 11:47 AM by BobbyVan
The State Department investigation of improper computer access to passport records of three presidential candidates is focusing on one remaining employee — a contract worker with a company headed by an adviser to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama

The probe by State's inspector general will include polygraph tests for supervisors in the passport section to find out whether the three contract employees who accessed the records had a political motive or were part of a political operation to obtain personal data on Mr. Obama, Sen. John McCain or Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Two of the three contract employees had been fired before The Washington Times first reported Thursday on security breaches involving Mr. Obama's passport records. The furor expanded yesterday to incidents involving the passport records of Mr. McCain and Mrs. Clinton.

The third employee, who has not been fired, worked for The Analysis Corporation (TAC), which is headed by John O. Brennan, a former CIA agent who is an adviser to Mr. Obama's presidential campaign on intelligence and foreign policy.

13. My thoughts exactly.
I would place money that he offered to throw himself to the curb just to get the attention off pastorgate.

I don't think it worked because it also took attention away from Obama's speech.

2. I don't believe McCain's records were breached. I think that's a smokescreen.
I think it's really weird the way the State Dept. turned what sounded like poltically-motivated spying on Obama into a "it happened to everybody, just curiosity and incompetence, move along, nothing to see here". I wonder if this "advisor" CEO guy will be on Obama's campaign much longer--sounds like Obama might have some enemies.

3. I guess if you assume it's all a big conspiracy, yeah.
It's so much easier to believe a conspiracy when you can dismiss facts (McCain's passport being breached) and assume that Brennan, who gave $$$ to Obama, really is part of a plot to bring him down.

Did you support Ron Paul before Obama?

26. Then why wasn't McCain's alleged breach even mentioned at the initial State Dept. conference call?
The breach of McCain's record supposedly occurred at the same time by the same person as the third incident with Obama's passport records. This raises two big questions: 1. Why was there no mention of this in the first place? 2. If this person looked at two different political candidate's records, why weren't they fired immediately?

I don't believe McCain's records were breached. I think that's a smokescreen.

Hillary doesn't find out until yesterday that a "trainee" breached her file eight months ago? And AFTER the report of the Obama breaches, it's announced that McCain's file was breached, too? I don't buy it, either. I think the Hillary and McCain breach stories were "added" to dilute the appearance of conspiracy and take sympathy points away from Obama.

Intel Adviser Breaks with Obama over FISA, Telecoms

March 07, 2008 12:22 PM

Justin Rood Reports:

In a new interview with National Journal magazine, an intelligence adviser to Barack Obama's presidential campaign broke with his candidate’s position opposing retroactive legal protection for telecommunications companies being sued for cooperating with a dubious U.S. government domestic surveillance program.

"I do believe strongly that should be granted that immunity," former CIA official John Brennan told National Journal reporter Shane Harris in the interview. "They were told to by the appropriate authorities that were operating in a legal context."

has what to do with an attempt to look at McCain and Obama's passport? This just looks like info being distributed to divide and conquer the Democrats by forcing Obama to make Brennan resign---so that the MSM can later claim that Brennan resigned under a cloud of suspicion during Passport-gate, giving the impression that he was the instigator.

The telecoms have all the emails, faxes and phone calls of Obama, Hillary and McCain for the last 7 years and possibly for the last twenty years. They do not need to see passports.

33. Not a renegade, a strong counterpoint voice.
Brennan and TAC know the game, and Obama isn't the type to fill the room with "yes-men".

I don't think that's a bad thing.

31. More like double-crossing
If Brennan's mad at Obama for not supporting telecom immunity, he might have been more than tempted to switch loyalties. Also, keep in mind that is IS George Bush's Department of State.
