No, really. I mean it. GO It's time. Exit stage left. And don't let the door hit you on the way out.

7. That's cool. We can agree to disagree on the election, but art is universal.

9. I'm a huge Hitchcock fan
Vertigo is one of my faves, but I always find myself reaching for Rear Window.

11. The thing with both of those movies, is you can't stop watching.
No matter how many times I've watched them, if I'm channel surfing and one of them is on, I'm hooked. That's not something I'd say about Psycho though...no matter how great.

You have to be in the mood for that one --and even so, I generally watch that up until Janet Leigh checks into the Bates Motel. I actually prefer the story of a woman stealing funds and making a getaway.

13. We probably agree on the remake then.
:7 Notice though that Janet was conflicted by her crime. Was it the crime for which she was punished or her afterthoughts? Hitchcock was so brilliantly twisted, we will probably never figure that out.

I never thought it was the afterthoughts as such -- the conflict, itself, was the punishment. It's a common theme in Hitchcock's works --Conflict is Hell.
